I noticed Gonzaga has a pretty good one. I'm sure there are plenty over there to recruit. I enjoyed watching Szendrei under Sampson. Very aggressive.

I wouldn't mind OU going out and signing some Euro or Australian center every year or two. Take a chance on someone.

what about Bairstow from New Mexico? That guy from Australia? He can ball. I want one of those...

I don't even think we need to go that far. Canada seems to be the new hoops pipeline now.

I don't care where they come from as long as they can ball. Hell i would put a giraffe out there to block shots with his head and neck.

A giraffe playing college basketball in Oklahoma would increase the odds of giraffe inbreeding and is against national zoo guidelines. The animal would need to be executed.

Someone told me 7 footers are hard to find..UC Irvine has a 7'2 player..a 7'6 player and a 7 foot player.

Maybe we can get Roddick, the tennis coach, to help out.

Let's offer some 7 ft stiff and you guys can cuss about Lon wasting a ship!

Michal Cekovsky (Slovakia)

Legend Robertin (England)

Kingsley Okoroh (England)

would kill for a bairstow player on this team... heck, id even take Alex Kirk from the very same new mexico team too

Kruger won't sign some lumbering up and down the court 7 footer. He will sign long athletic kids that can run. The taller the better. But, long athletic and running come first.

This.

Having said that, I would take the Kirk guy from UNM even if he is a square peg.

Bairstow > Kirk.

Alex has hit his ceiling, Bairstow went from a fringe starter to averaging 20ppg this season.

True but Bairstow is a SR. Kirk is a 4th yr graduating JR considering a transfer. The thing about Kirk is he's much better defensively and meets our current needs pretty good. Like I've said before, he's a bit of a plodder. I think for 1 yr, Coach would take him. He'd be worth it.

We talked about Mo Ahmed from Bishop Kelley in Tulsa awhile back. He's 7'2, agile and runs the floor pretty good.

He is from the Sudan and it looks like he might be a basketball novice. He's not allowed to play high school ball this year. Is he the definition of a stiff? Could be. But he can jump and everything depends on his learning curve.

When Hakeem Olajuwon arrived at Houston, he was also a basketball novice and had only played soccer. He picked the game up, had no street ball and no bad habits in him and turned out to be one of the best quick learns and students of the game we've ever seen.

We may be missing a bet on a guy right in our back yard.
