Capel Game Management

Great answers to everything he stated. I agree with you 100% on all points, not that it means anything. :clap

Dang, Booger. That's about the most sensible thing I've ever heard from you. :ez-laugh:

Letting your man score multiple times is a bigger problem...we needed stops. Why not go zone for a few possessions if you're going to play him?

Ford's came in the first half down 21-6, he basically said in his post-game interview it was on purpose to fire up his team and the crowd. You can afford a T at that juncture, not down in the second half struggling on the road. Time and situation.

Agreed, but they didn't show the entire game...so is Capel just supposed to fold the tent and say "maybe next time"? He's got to find a way to put our guys who are scoring (Fitz most noteworthy) in positions to score. Get Blair in the lane, etc. We were just content with jacking contested shots, we can get better looks than that. Spacing needs to be addressed in the half court, and I'm sure it will be going forward. Just reared it's head today due to our struggles by Pledge and Clark.

lol, this is what someone says when they don't have informative rebuttal.

I'm curious...if Davis wasn't out there...then who would be??? You have the answers. What lineup would you have put at there to stop OSU?
And you want to go zone against Page and Moses without Davis? They would have torn that zone alive.

Ford's T could have destroyed OSU...If we would have made a few buckets...game over. But instead we just kept missing shot after shot and they came back. Capel's T did not hurt us. It had to be done. They were getting all the calls and they were shooting free throw after free throw and then they get that horrible call with ball going off of Pilgrims head. And even without that technical...we still lose. At least we got that makeup call then time down after they shot the ball.

And your talking about Blair getting to the lane...The same Blair who had 0 assists and 6 TOs who was also 2-9 on the field. That Blair. Maybe if Blair wasn't turning the ball over every other time we wouldn't have been down in the first place.

So your strategy was to keep Davis out...the kid who had 18 pts on the game and just give Fitz the ball every time down the floor even though he was being double teamed every time he caught it anywhere close to the basket And survive solely on our defense. I LIKE IT. We can replace Davis with Washington and survive w/ a group(other than Fitz) who was 5-21 on the night.
