There were a lot of people on this board last year saying this kid isn't a D-1 player, shouldn't have a scholarship, yada yada.

While he is still struggling with turnovers, he has impressed me so far this year. He's shooting 5-9 from 3, and any blind man can see his defensive is significantly improved. Pretty evident this kid spent hours and hours and hours in the gym during the offseason, and it's certainly paying off.

Very solid backup PG off the bench and certainly helps with our overall depth.

If he can keep shooting the ball well he will be alright, the turnovers are very horrific though. Hard to be a pg if you can't deliver a pass. His better fit is when we can have him and grooms or newell in there and survive with Blair at the 2. His defense looks good enough but we won't be able to get away with this type of lineup very long. We will see, hopefully he will get a better handle on his passes but he is coming off the bench this year and definitley not starting. I think he is a d-1 player, just not a great one.

Blair has shot well, but he continues to telegraph his passes in the fastbreak. Dont get me wrong, he continues to prove that he is a capable backup. I was a little dissapointed with a few of the fouls he picked up last night, though.

As I recall all three of his fouls were bad.

To be fair, in the two regular season games, Blair hasn't really turned it over any more than Grooms has. I think Blair has one more turnover. So if Blair needs to improve on things, so does Grooms. Blair had 2-3 turnovers on the fast break last night. He had no turnovers at all that first game. I think he's playing pretty well, actually.

Definitely agree that turnovers are a team problem, not a player problem at the moment.

On fast breaks, I think Blair is too intent on making highlight reel dunks for his teammates instead of making the easy layup.

Hard to fault the kid for that, a lot of young players think that way.

Yeah, I think LK will work on that this week. Our spacing has been the biggest issue. The passes have been difficult to make, b/c our spacing has been bad. Somewhat easily corrected though.
