It's apparently between OU and Oregon. He hasn't visited Oregon yet so...

Announcement is going down at 2:30 at his school.

For the "Crystal Ball" followers, it's 50-50 overall between OU-Oregon. But the last five predictions coming in are OU, including Jerry Meyer, the 247Sports national guy who was on the Milton/SMU prediction so there's that.

I really, really like this kids game as an attacking/slashing guard.

Okay, I'm just going to say it. He's OU bound! Read the SoonerScoop interview OUHoops posted earlier and you'll know why I say that. If OU and Oregon are in his top two, no way he is going to commit to a school he hasn't visited yet, especially after what he saw as a near perfect trip to Norman last weekend.

If I'm wrong, somebody call 911 for me Thursday afternoon. I'll need it!

My sentiments exactly. Especially that last sentence. We'll need two ambulances, Ada.

I think he's probably OU bound, too. He's a big, strong, slashing guard kind of like a Marcus Smart.

He couldn't have said anything more positive, and he hasn't visited Oregon. Plus Norman is a lot closer to his hometown of Houston.

If we get this kid, which seems likely, this will turn out to be a solid class.

Good looking guard. Plays in attack mode it seems and is really athletic.

I think James has the potential to be as good as any guard Kruger has signed to date.

He obviously has the athleticism but I think his stroke is very underrated and fundamentally sound.

He's kind of like Buford in that he seems to have all the tools to be great, but he's never really stood out as the star on his team. This year in aau he played with the best guard in the 2016 class, for instance.

This would be a great get, solidify the 2015 class before the season even tips off.

I am not sure if everyone can access that.

He is a 6'4" 180lbs sg from Bellaire, Texas 89.99 composite. 144 national ranking. 11 in the state of Texas. Offers from OU, Oregon, Houston, Maryland, LSU, Temple, Wake Forest, and Washington State. Crystal ball says OU 69% Oregon 31%.

Interesting little bit of trivia is that Sampson coached at OU, Washington State and Houston.

Just to add to this, ESPN has him ranked at a 4* but not in their top 100

Love this kind of player. This is the kind of talent that can develop into something special over 4 years. When you're not in a position to sign the Burger Boys, this is exactly the kind of player you want.

Smart seems like a good comparison based on that video...

Rivals national bb recruiter guy says that the correct rumor is James choosing OU on Thursday.

Guys Justin Hite the writer for OU is doing really good stuff for OU scout. Its been free on all his stuff, he's calling and getting stories with these recruits and visitors...

Justin Hite did a great job on the interview! I was a member on that board for a decade or more, but haven't even posted over there in the last couple of years. It might be time to check them out again.

Justin also answered a question I had about Christian's injury:

James had surgery after aggravating a stress fracture in the bone and expects to be back on the court in January.

It's good to know that our future Sooner (I think the chances of that are definitely in our favor) should be ready to see the court again in January. Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Christian!
