If he had to have surgery to fix the break, he may miss the rest of the calendar year (see Louisville kid's injury). I don't claim to know the extent, though. Hopefully it is closer to your hope!

the question then becomes who gets processed to give us the extra ship for the PG
Lazenby needs to transfer to ORU or something. Especially because we need to land Quinerly too.

I'm sure many here remember that James lost most, if not all, of his senior year at Bellaire to a broken leg. He came back fine and seemed to be at full strength as a freshman at OU. I doubt Moore's injury scares the coaches 1 bit.
Khavon Moore is going to commit to OU and the Sooners want him even if has to redshirt in order for it to heal properly. A broken leg with both bones broken is likely no big deal. Even with a rod inserted. He might be ready to go this summer. I never read where it was broken around a joint (ankle or knee).
Christian James had some complications with his broken leg that set back his recovery.
I broke my leg and ankle playing softball many years ago. I was playing shortstop and was crossing the bag on a force out. The runner slid but hit me with both legs and never hit the ground on the "slide". It broke both leg bones and my right ankle .... my ankle was hanging 6 inches to the side of my leg. I had several surgeries and still have a plate in my legs and screws in both sides of my ankle. I was playing all sports in less than 6 months..... but not at the level of D1 basketball.

Apparently he is postponing his announcement. If OU is a lock I am not sure why he is doing so. Anyone heard anything more about Khavon?

Maybe OU is making progress with the 5 Star PG & are moving on from Moore?
The article mentioned he may take an "official" visit to Oklahoma as well. Has he not already taken an official to OU?? Or was it an unofficial.
At any rate, doesn't sound like he is close to making a decision to me. Could be March by the sound of that article.
He would be a GREAT addition to this class and would fit well into our system.
