They allowed more to Wisconsin in one half than Penn State allowed them in an entire game.

I hope they enjoyed winning...b/c now that Pullen and Kelly are gone, they won't be seeing much of that anymore.

You're right, K State should be ashamed, we all want to see more games like that PSU-Wisconsin shat fest.

That was actually a great game. I shouldn't have been that hard on KSU with that post. I didn't expect them to play that close. This has been a solid day of basketball.

Yeah good tournament all around imo.

KState played better than I thought they would. WIsconsin is not an easy team to play.

Agreed. I think they will fall back to mediocrity now.

I hope they don't just because every time Frank loses someone we have people on here saying "he's gonna fail now without ____________"

If he still maintains the same level of success without Pullen, etc, then I won't be one of those posters you are referring to.

K-State is going to come back down to Earth a bit, they will still win games but not nearly at the same rate. Going to be hard to keep paying Hill that enormous salary.

K-State will be just fine. Frank Martin is a heck of a coach and I just don't see them going away while he is at the helm.

I like Frank Martin. I know he is not too popular on this site but I have always like the guy. I gauranty if I played for him, I would do it his way. The guy is scarry and I think that is what I like about him.

Hey I'd take him as our coach any day.

Nice throwing stones when your coach was fired for sucking

Yeah no kidding. Two losing seasons in a row, do we really have any room to bash anyone? I will say this for K-State fans, at least they support all of their programs. Bill Snyder Family Stadium is always packed all season long for football, and Bramilage Coliseum is deafening ever since Bob Huggins arrived in Manhattan. As much as it pains me to say, they are more loyal than a lot of OU fans, and Aggieville is the best bar district in the Big 12. If you haven't been I suggest you do.

KSU will still be good.. This look right, sys?

PG: Will Spradling- Pretty good freshman season. 2nd on team in assists, 37%3pt shooter, good size at 6'3'' 170. He gets a lot of PT for a good team as a true freshman.
SG: Rodney McGruder- 2nd leading scorer on the team, 2nd leading rebounder, 41% 3pt shooter. Should develop into a go-to guy.
SF: Nino Williams- Redshirted this year. Top 90 player out of high school. Was going to play on this years team but I believe he injured his head and had to redshirt.
PF: Jamar Samuels- Been a good player for 2 years now. His average of 9 per game will go up now that Pullen and Kelly are gone.
C: Jordan Roberts- 7 footer who can block shots. Only plays 13 minutes per game but led the team with 43 blocks this year.

Also, they have a decent recruiting class coming in and will probably sign a juco or two. I think they lead for Jeremy Jones, who has lots of high major programs on him and is supposed to be a very good scorer/shooter.

probably, more or less. except i'd expect mcgruder to stay at the 3. i don't think he can handle well enough to be the secondary ball handler. so put in one of the other options at 2 (or shift spradling there and put someone else in at the 1).

not sure where williams will fit in, but i do expect him to pick up decent minutes.

you're aware of the incoming freshmen, but a guy you might not know of is omari lawrence, from st johns. he redshirted this year at cloud county, and afaik is still planning to join kstate next year.

i'm pretty sure we lose another guy this spring as well. probably either myles or russell.

What do you think of Spradling? Is he "the guy" at point guard or a temporary option until someone better signs?

I would feel pretty good about McGruder, Nino, and Samuels for next season.. but Roberts and Spradling are question marks. Its pretty impressive to block 43 shots in 13 minutes a game, and Spradling seems like he might be steady player who can really shoot the ball, but they didnt light the world on fire this year or anything.

i like spradling. i think history shows that guys that come in and shoot 35% on 100 3 point attempts as freshmen generally become outstanding shooters as upperclassmen, and that's basically my expectation for him. i think he also handles the ball well enough to put the ball on the floor. he can't finish in traffic yet, but he has a nice pull up, stepback j that he can get off at this level. he needs to learn how to make a layup, so that he's a credible threat to go all the way to the rim. that'll make his midrange stepback j so much more effective.

i think he and ar-t (angel rodriguez) will split time at the point both next year and throughout their careers. martin likes to have two guys that are capable of being a pg on the floor, and i think those two will be the guys.
