Gonna be a long wait till next year. The only chance this team has to win another conference game is to hope somebody like Pledger gets hot and goes for 30. I didn't get to see the game but I see the stat sheet. I've never seen a more offensively or defensively challenged team than this one. I was very excited and couldn't believe when we beat KSU those two times. But that will obviously be the exception not the norm.

It appears that OU tried to take Royce whats his face out of the game, and ISU guards went Larry Bird on us. Is it me or do other teams have unusually high shooting percentages in Lloyd Noble? The last home game I watched was Baylor and they had some guard(s) that had a career game from 3 pt land. I know our defense and guards are attrocious at closing out 3 pt shooters, but you would think we would get lucky and SOME team would have an off shooting night against us. When teams take Pledger out of the game, we have no prayer of anyone else hitting 3s. ISU looks like they had a smorgasbord of guards that just bombed us from the arc. When will the next day be that OU has more than one guard that can consistently hit a 3? That day cannot come soon enough.

Cam Clark seems like a great kid. He is a sick athlete but he just plain sucks offensively. Hands down. Every game Im following on my ESPN Iphone app when Im at the store with my wife and I look at the mid-game stats and he's 1-7, makes me cringe....

I hope next year we get a talent infusion(Hield, Hornbeak, Henry) that helps our scoring. Texas may not be the greatest team this year, but they have guys who are aggressive on the offensive end, can hit open shots, and just overall score the basketball, every year. With Grooms, Clark, Blair we have no prayer to have any offensive consistency. Its really unbelievable. Its like these guys have never shot a basketball before.

I grew up on Billy-Ball and Kelvin. This crap hurts my eyes. Shame on me for getting my hopes up...

Seriously? This team can still make the NIT, and that is what a realistic expectation should be for OU at this point. The Big 12 is a good league this season.

OU got little contribution from the frontcourt players today. Agree with you on Clark, he is a great athlete but awful at shooting. I hope some of the freshman coming in can shoot better than the current guys.

Does no one else realize that Iowa State is likely to be ranked next week? This is a game we could have one, but were not expected to.

For the most part, I wouldn't blame this game on the players. There were a few offensive errors and some defensive misteps. But the bulk of the problem was coaching. Our intense focus on White is why they scored 45 points from downtown. Not getting the whistles to go our way hurt as well.

This loss hurts, but it's not the end of the world. We didn't lose to Tech.

Its one thing to get into the NIT but to ever talk about it midway thru conference play just makes me sick. At this point, who really cares about the NIT. Its a tournament for teams that aren't in the top(what is it now) 68. Its not like making the NIT is some sort of recruiting edge. OU's expectations are to win games!!!

Normally, I would agree with you but considering we were Capeled, our expectations have fallen quite a bit. Right now, I am expecting to get better every game and hopefully make the NIT.

Clark may not be a good shooter, but at least the defenses respect him enough to guard him. Grooms and Blair are horrible. Grooms doesn't even get guarded. If Grooms strength is getting to the rim, than OU needs to take their last scholarship and go find another PG. OU has the 2 worst PGs in the big 12.

:facepalm

This is a rebuilding year.

Last year was a rebuilding year...this year is what it is...a team that could have won more games if Newell didn't leave but now has the talent to win but not enough guard depth to win the games that we could have won.

I'm having a hard time deciding which was more disgusting today: our defense, or our crowd. Both were pathetic.

I have never understood why it is so damn hard for basketball crowds to stand up during the game and sit down during TV timeouts. Every football crowd can do this; I see no reason why basketball should be any different.

It was about as lively as a nursing home in there today. I think there were about 150 students there, and that might be generous. Sad, sad atmosphere.

The student section was downright depressing today. I blew up wayyy too many balloons expecting more people to show up. I just don't understand. 5:00 p.m. on a Saturday Night is a perfect time for a basketball game for students. Parties do not start at 5:00 at night...there should have been no problem getting students out for this game. Again, I just don't get it.

FYI expect the arena to be empty at the start of Monday's game. OU already has late arriving crowds...now couple that with rush hour traffic and it's going to look terrible at the start of the game. Hopefully it can fill in, considering we're playing a Top 5 opponent, but I'm not getting my hopes up. And of course...we'll still sell out the LNC for a game against a mediocre Texas team, lol.

Pffft, I showed up at 3:30 for a hat and a foam finger and I sat in the student section. Of course, I was one of about 6 people not on the floor in the student section for the next hour. But those 6 of us were a dedicated bunch.

And of course again today people started heading to the exits at the under 8 timeout. By the under 4 timeout, they were streaming out. I will never understand that. Never.
