Merely using profanity and calling your player a f*cking idiot are two very different things.

Holder certainly thought it was a serious matter.

So did oshwo alum and former professional athlete Jim Trabor, who said, according to Berry Tramel, that while "he’s heard coarse language all his life from coaches...hardly ever did it include name-calling."

So again, not really respectable.

Yeah Trabor is the voice that folks should pay attention to. He was in tight with Sean Sutton and has had an axe to grind against Ford from the beginning. Obi and Ford got passed that pretty quickly.

What kind of asshole would take his own money, buy the IGA out of hot dogs and hamburgers, borrow the cooker from his church and spend two days cooking for the people and volunteers in Moore?

Ford is Animated and Intese, he played that way, coaches that way and recruits that way. I have zero problem with the way Ford represents OSU.

They investigated the heck out of Gallon. If OU was in the wrong anymore than we already know we were, we'd have been punished much more severely. And you KNOW that is the truth.

Get this. A major college basketball coach is trying to distract an opposing player taking a free throw. Just think about that for a minute. Pretty lame? Totally classless? Poor sport? These are all true.

But osu fans have "zero problem with the way he represents osu".
kind of shows you the mentality we are dealing with here.
 
You guys really get 'embarrassed' by or lose 'respect' for people you've never met? Besides maybe a nod and a handshake at some meet and greet. Just because they associate with your favorite collegiate sports team?

I don't respect Travis Ford, I don't respect Mike Gundy, I didn't respect Eddie Sutton. And If I were an OU alum/fan instead of an OSU alum/fan, I wouldn't respect Lon Kruger or Bob Stoops or Sampson.

My only interest in Travis Ford and all sports figures is that they help the team I want to win, win. So right now I'm slightly above 'okay' with Travis Ford, and hopefully after this season I'll 'respect' him even more.

As far as being embarrassed by a man I don't even know, he could wear a bib and an adult diaper and scream the entire game, give me a call at halftime and call ME a ****ing idiot and as long as he won, I don't care. His behavior has zero effect on me, and I am certainly not embarrassed by it in anyway.
 
You can tell Kruger getting pimp slapped around in recruiting by Ford is really wearing you guys out. This board will be great to come back to in a few months when Ford has landed more big fish and Kruger continues to disappoint.

I love the bagging on Ford but OSU is a lock for the NCAA this year and Unibrow Krug will be making a run for an NIT championship with that awful roster. If he doesn't make it to the dance Lon Wooden will have made 6+ million for an 11 seed...total. Congrats! I'm sure the old man appreciates a cushy retirement package.

Really? You have absolutely no standards of behavior whatsoever that you'd expect your head coach to live up to?

You guys are surprising me. I already stated that I thought Ford was a good fit in Stillwater, but I never dreamed just how amenable you guys are to his antics.

Just win--if you do, doesn't matter how you comport yourself. That seems to be the new Aggie Way.

The best thing about aggie is that at the end of the day they have, continue to, and will always be the little brother in this state. The fact that there are droves of them spending time on OUHoops.com only further drives home my point (this isn't even a cool messageboard any more you guys...)

Where is OSUHoops.com by the way? Why is Historic GIA only filled with T-Boone buys tickets (KU fans don't count)? Why did it look like Bryant Reeves always had burr holes through his shaved dome? These are all questions that we may never get answered.

I guess we can just all sit back and smile - while osu fans virtually pee on the threads of our board ala Sutton (the drunk, cheating one).

Somewhere Mr Iba is shaking his head.

No, I don't have standards that I expect complete strangers to abide by. Travis Ford isn't my friend. Travis Ford isn't a member of my family. Travis Ford isn't a colleague, and Travis Ford isn't a student of mine. Travis Ford (or any other collegiate or professional coach or manager) isn't "my" anything.

His antics do not reflect poorly on me as a person, or as a fan, and it certainly doesn't undermine the legitimacy of my degree or make it depreciate in any way.

So, no, once again my sole interest in the guy is that he leads my Alma mater to victory. So, my opinion of the guy right now is slightly above neutral. Unless I have to interact with this person day after day or he's coaching someone I know, I really could not care less about that he stomps on the floor or whines, or overuses exclamation points. (The latter being pretty funny/weird)

And as for the stay classy part, to assume that my philosophy on SPORTS has any bearing on my personal morality or that I lack class is both ridiculous and a bit offensive.

Travis Ford is a great recruiter that's it, horrible head coach.


Btw, I honestly think Lon Kruger isn't the right answer to turn this program around. He can't recruit like he used too and it shows. This team this year is goin to have a terrible season. Like bottom of big 12 bad. Getting 3 star recruits isn't going to bring us back to he final four. We consistently miss out on in state recruits. UNACCEPTABLE. Stevie clark >Woodard..... We also have lost prospects to TCU and Georgia, two of the worst basketball programs in the country. We need to recruit better or move on.


I also know some of you are going to bash me and say that we made the tourney last year.....We made the tourney with 6 seniors and lost in the 1st round. He's not recruiting great, and by the looks
Of Cam Clark and some head scratching losses (TCU) he's not coaching
well either.

I hope he proves me wrong and grabs an impressive in state prospect or he develops cam clark into a dependable player. But right now, I'm worried.
