staying? gone? agent? no agent?

dfw, a little head's up, please.

I'll be interested to see how he adjusts to not having a solid pg to play along side, if he stays.

Dunn announced that he is staying and not going to test the NBA waters today. Sys- any word on Pullen's intentions? I know he is likely coming back, but will he go through workouts to gauge his stock?

Carl- I watched every second of every Baylor game this year and AJ Walton will be a good big 12 point guard. He can knock down the open 3. He can get to the rim. He distributes well. Don't get me wrong, the Bears will miss Carter's leadership and ball handling and will need contributions from another guard to take pressure off of Dunn and Walton. Nolan Dennis or freshman Stargell Love will have to provide that. But I don't see a huge drop-off from Carter to Walton.

I also tend to think Walton and Love will do fine.

I didn't mean to slight those two I'm just saying dunn has had the luxury of always having a pg that was more experienced than him and of equal talent. Baylor will be fine, but dunn will have to create off the dribble more and I wonder how that will turn out.

I don't mean this to come off sounding like a smart-ass. I think Dunn's situation is similar to James Anderson. Anderson had a good experienced PG in Eaton to help him create shots. Then this year, he had underclassmen at the PG position and Anderson had to create a lot on his own. Dunn will face the same challenge after the luxury of Carter and Jerrells handling the ball.

I'm sure NBA scouts will be telling Dunn that he really needs to work on his ball handling and passing to get in the 1st round of the draft next year. And like Anderson, I'm betting he will be very motivated to improve in this area. Near the end of the season, Dunn became very skilled at getting to the rim off the dribble.

nothing has been announced officially. but unofficially, the word is that he's not going to bother with declaring/working out, etc.

thats a good comparison. He'll have to learn to distribute more when hes facing double teams, though he may end up having more weapons to take the heat off than JA did.
