I don't know who is responsible for deciding to use elevated courts - the NCAA or the people who run the venues - but someday, they are going to get someone hurt.

They'll worry about that when it happens!!!

Isn't it Vanderbilt that has an elevated court and has the teams at either end instead of along the sideline? I know that the NCAA has said no other schools can do that. But it's OK for the FF? :facepalm

Well with the elevated court they can sell seats for the whole dome by putting the court in the middle of the field which they have done the last few years, they use to put a unelevated court in the end zone and only sell tickets for half the dome

Remember when the Final 4 wasn't played in a vast, sterile morgue? The famous 1983 final between NC State and Houston was played at the Pit in Albuquerque.

I could never afford a ticket close to the court and I don't see the point in sitting 100 yards away. Just another decision that the NCAA makes that benefits their bank account and nothing else.

Lots of other cities could enjoy the Final Four if it were played in arenas that were 18K - 22K instead of football stadiums with roofs.

Nothing better than sitting in the 400 level of the Superdome and watching a bunch of ants throw a grain of salt around!
