ESPN Transfer Rankings 2020-21 and 2021-22

I would like Burton from Wichita but if not I’d take one of these thick guys. Margo 6’8” 245#, Anosike 6’6” 245#, or Croswell 6’8” 260#. I believe we need more muscle.
Of course if they Vic is going to explode this year then maybe it’s not necessary. However we will miss Doo’s strength as much as anything.

A big with some bulk would make me happy too. Doo was a bit on the small side for a four, but he made up for it with his strength, determination and skill set. We will definitely miss him next season.

Vic is on the small side too. Merritt has the size at 6’ 9” 245. Do you know enough about him to say if he could be the answer?

Vic as in Victor? how tall is he? 6'6 at best?

I really try to give everyone the benefit of doubt...and I think I read somewhere that he hasn't played ball much.

Guy hustles and seems to have a good attitude about not playing much but I saw very little offensive skill set..and his defense wasn't great either. He may be a freak athletically but that doesn't equal a good basketball player, just my 2 cents.

Victor is listed at 6’ 7” 216. He’s obviously a good athlete, but it’s also clear he’s on the raw side offensively and defensively. If I remember correctly, he didn’t attend school last year, but worked out on his own in Southlake. That may explain his lack of progress as a high school senior.

The highlight videos I watched after he committed to OU, had me believing he could be a difference maker. I still think that’s possible. But he’s got a ways to go before he is ready to break into the starting lineup.

Yes Vic is Victor I. He is at least 6'6" and probably 6'7". He is very strong and could be a very effective 4. He actually shoots the ball well. He is still very raw in understanding how to play though.
Merritt looks the part of the type of player I want to have. He seemed to play decent at garbage time late in the year but I haven't heard what they are expecting out of him.

I don't care if he's 6'4. Give me somebody that can play and we'll figure out the rest. No more ______.

(left blank because I could think about 8 names I'd put in there)

No question Victor is motivated to play well. His reputation coming out of high school was that he is a high energy player. That was evident in every video I watched. I think he’s going to be really good in time. It’s a matter of how long will it take to get him up to speed by fast-tracking his experience lag on offense as well as defense.

Vic as a freshman had no clue what was going on.. He did play so so so hard. I think he felt the pressure to try and make something happen when he was on the court because he knew he was only getting a few mins a game. Fouling and being out of position way too much which was frustrating to watch.

He won't get a ton of minutes next season with Manek here. I'd like to see him get 10-12 mins a game and just get a little better and learn from Manek. As a Junior I do believe he will be our starting 4.

What if OU lands Koval? We would have 3 7fters on the team basically. I like him because he can play right away and for two years I believe.
