The powerful SEC has nobody in the tournament. The Pac Twelve was kind of a surprise. Fourth and fifth place teams were playing in the Elite Eight, and now one is in the Final Four. Another eliminated Notre Dame. Oregon State was not really a surprise. Washington was.
I noticed that too. I fear that we are approaching a point where women are going to have a much reduced place in coaching WBB at the NCAA level. There are now more teams coached by men than women. Now men also appear to be significantly better able to win.
I have studied it pretty carefully and have identified a couple of reasons why that is happening. It may not be fixable. And it has absolutely nothing to do with coaching skill.
