Five things to know about CS Bakerfield | Dallas Morning News

That blue court is something. I don't know what it is, but it's something.

We're playing them in baseball on the same day. How weird is that?

3. The Roadrunners play defense

Oklahoma faced a tough defensive team in West Virginia in the Big 12 tourney, and they'll get another solid defensive team in CSU Bakersfield.

The Roadrunners force 15.3 turnovers game while averaging 8.0 steals and 5.1 blocks. CSU Bakersfield held teams to an average of 63.2 points per game on 39.1 percent shooting from the field.

They do a good job of getting out to leads in the first half and could present problems to Oklahoma if the Sooners start out cold.

Interesting observation. OU needs to get off to good starts in these tournament games.

CS Bakersfield has only played one decent team all year - St. Mary's - where they lost by 35 and St. Mary's couldn't make it into the tournament. Wasn't their coach an assistant here under Capel?

If we don't score at least 80 on these guys - St. Mary's scored 94 - I'll be massively disappointed.

And St. Mary's just barely beat NM State in the NIT last night - the same NM State team that Bakersfield beat to secure their NCAA berth.

Transitive scores are useless, but OU should cover easily.

No offense, but the name of the game now is not about style. It's WIN AND ADVANCE. Yes I want to see us hit on all cylinders, but we just need to get Win! BOOMER SOONER BABY!
