Football message board?

Football Brainiacs is GREAT. Wonderful insight and I rarely read the comments - so I have no idea if there are trolls or not.

There used to be an almost "secret" OU basketball board many years ago - way back in the late 90's and early 2000. I am sure some of you used to post there.

I would love to see a football board on here, as long as it does not infringe on what we have here.

JMO but a football board here would = trolls. And it would bleed over into basketball. That's what trolls do. And I say that as a member of both pay and free football boards.

Sorry, not trying to hijack. But I always want to put in my .02 about protecting our ecosystem here, when the topic comes up.

I've been seriously considering putting up a football and off-topic board here.

Obviously, the site name doesn't change (nor does the header) and hoops is still the priority, but they would be there for this group of people we have here to discuss things other than hoops if they like.

Not sure I can keep up with it moderating-wise (I hate moderating lol), but I'll probably give it a shot.

If I get a vote, put me down as a big NO. One of the big reasons I come here is to avoid 'football message board' OU fans. No thank you. Honestly, this place saved message boards in general for me. I was done with them until I found this place. You can't imagine how much I love being able to discuss a sport and athletic program I love in a civil manner with (mostly) like minded people.

They are completely free, a few of ex-football players including Ryan Broyles, that break down the game and post the info they get from their own sources. They have been doing great work and the comment section is very civil.

They have been supplying such good inside info, one of the pay sites got pissed and turned the OU admin against them who basically gave them a cease and desist on the info posting they were getting from the closed practices. (we think it was Hale) Just a shame that people have to try to bring down the open market. but they post lots of good stuff, especially during the season of good film studies and such. Definitely recommend it.

That's a bunch of crap, if indeed was Hale, what a d-bag. He's nothing more than a blow hard. I was an OUInsider member for years but grew tired of him and his ego. One of the worst in the business imo. I am a member of Scout, I enjoy that board.
