My guess final 2 for AA PG, Trae Young, Norman North HS are OU & KU. Slides right into either team's PG spot w/Woodard & Mason graduating.

I said on another thread that KU might be our main competition now that Green picked Kentucky. The Jayhawk's new five star commit, Billy Preston, has been calling for KU fans to get involved in recruiting Trae.
 
Question. When is the last time we beat KU for a player they really wanted?
 
Blake. Hopefully another Local OK kid makes it 2.

Then again having Buddy go to HS right in their backyard makes for a good laugh though.

A couple of the recruiting services list Garrett as a PG, but the truth is he's probably more of a combo guard. Plus, KU can sell Young on the fact that they basically start two PGs together right now. It'll be an uphill climb with KU involved.

not saying ku didn't want Buddy but I'm sure he wasn't their top choice.

Yup def be a hard climb. ku has the talent, ku runs 2 pg now...hope it doesn't happen.
 
If we can pick up Young's commitment soon, I think it drives huge momentum for 2018 recruiting. Seems like bball recruiting is all about Spring/Summer camps. etc.. before senior year seasons. Hope big things are ahead for this team soon. Big Lon fan!
 
This team next year with Young at pg could really win the big 12 and have a chance at final 4 if everyone keeps developing. Very pumped for that chance.

we will only have 2 ships 2 give in that class baring transfers

and we will have 7 bigs back and 5 guards back ..

Yeah, I think I remember Bill Self saying something like, "If I'd known he'd been this good of a player, we would have recruited him harder..." or at least something like it...

If KU is truely a legitimate threat, then I do think we are gonna have an uphill battle as you are saying... I hope this is just Fran assuming that its down to us and KU because of the UK committment.
 
Let's hope Trae gets a girlfriend who's heading to OU, a la Payton Pritchard.

That dude was getting torched today. I wasn't upset about it. But it got to the point he was throwing his hands up in desperation

That dude went for 18 pts and 4 assists today. Pretty good for a freshman in game 4.

lol I know he is good. I'm just still upset we didn't land him so I enjoyed watching someone go off on him. He wasn't even playing bad defense. The other guy was just hot. I'm not saying he is a bad player at all. I'd love to have him on our team.

He looked limited athletically. But will be a solid player regardless
 
Pritchard looked great. He's going to be a stud by the time he is a senior. Losing him was a big blow.
