33,000 people are killed by guns every year in the USA. The fact that 24 officers have been shot and killed in the line of duty is nothing more than the law of averages in a backwards gun society.
What a joke the big deal they are making out of the recent police shootings. They are a few out of 33,000 and deserve no more attention or investigation or assignment of resources than any of the other tens of thousands killed. You want handguns? Deal with the resulting death and carnage and treat all 33,000 annual fatalities the same.
