Free Admission for Arkansas Game

Sorry you think it’s sad. That’s the point, nobody but OU makes an event free after people have paid except OU. It’s sad to me you would pay for admission to something then when it’s made free say oh well.

We will just agree to disagree
The normal response is to say oh well.
They weren't free when you decided to buy them and you fully consented to the price.

I'm reminded of a certain parable...

I don't mind the email you sent at all .. but OU is not close to the only school / team that has made events free because of the weather ..
Bad weather is the general reason, but I've seen other events that lowered prices or started offering for free because turnout was predicted to be low.

Good example, I get offers from the local casino a few times a year offering me free tickets to a concert/event that wasn't always free. Those that paid for tickets early on were not getting refunds, but they didn't want an empty building and figure offering free tickets is better than just eating them.

Neither does Joe C but some on here want to attack and call it sad, not normal, weird etc. I just don't get the propensity of some on here to attack or call other posters names because they disagree.. It's ok if you don't agree with me, I'm the only one who has lived my experience as a basketball season ticket holder, so I have a perspective that nobody else has. Ultimately, I'm here as a fan of OU basketball and to cuss and discuss OU basketball, not other posters.

People keep comparing this situation to one off events like a concert or a one off sporting event. You don't understand that if you want a loyal base of season ticket holders you treat them differently than a random buyer. That's what builds loyalty and relationship. My beef is not about the money, it's about the relationship. I've spent most of my career in sales and/or running a company and I know what makes people feel valued and what doesn't.

I'm done discussing and defending. If you don't get it, that's ok. If you don't agree, that's ok too.

I personally don't care that I paid for a ticket and somebody sat in front of me who probably did not and certainly did not buy that ticket. But, I'm also someone who will complain when a fast food establishment gets my order wrong and usually get a free meal out of it. Some would say oh well to that, I don't. So, who cares whether someone complains?

He can complain all he likes. But he posted about it in an open forum which in turn gives me the right to voice an opinion. Simple concept.

The tickets just wreak of entitlement. Getting a food order wrong is a little different. IMO, at least.
