Friday night - couple of curiosities of sorts...

1. I'm curious what happened to the women's radio broadcast on 1520AM, at least at the end of the game. I drive my mom to the games, when we both can go, most of the time now. And we did hear the pregame, because we got there from Lawton just before the tip. But, I turned on the car radio and got the men's game (not that I didn't want to hear any of it, but it was unexpected). My mom loves to hear the postgame show and was so disappointed we didn't get to hear it. We even tried switching to 1400AM, and they didn't have it, either.

2. Speaking of the end of the game, my mom tried keeping with her old tradition (when my dad was still living) of slipping out early so she could get the car started and get the radio on for the ending. So she talked me into leaving when it was 86-70. What happened to make it only a seven-point margin? I assume WKU hammered in some treys when the game was decided, but I was shocked to hear that it wound up 90-83.

I had the same trouble post game. I later looked on soonersports.com and found that KOKC 95.3 appears to always have the women’s games on...even when the men have a game at the same time.

Late in the game Western Kentucky was pressing and we got sloppy and made some turnovers. Western Kentucky did make a couple of 3s also but we were never in any danger of losing.
