Gallon's Twitter

Who's to say he isn't?? He's been working out the past week 2-3 hours straight by himself in order to get better. Sounds like a kid who's starting to figure things out unlike some others we've had.

I'm just saying it doesn't look good. But perhaps I'm a little gunshy after all of the B.S. we've seen from some of these guys this year.

I understand you there...but for me I dont blame the kids as much as i blame capel...capel needed to reign these kids in and be a leader and he never did...it got out of control and next thing you know everyone is going pro

I bet both tmg and gallon would for sure be back next year if capel stepped up and became a leader and reigned in these kids...instead he let them have to much rope and they hung themselves...they lost respect for discipline

I worked out with him this past weekend on his free time, his BMI is already looking better since the end of the season.

From six hours ago:

Jus had a talk with my dude Coach Capel..... He Understand my situation

@BJ3nnings3 congrats to my big bro B.jenns ill be watching... ill see yu in NY for da 2010 draft party

Call me crazy, but this doesn't sound like a guy who's thinking about coming back to OU.
Sounds like he's talking about hanging out in NY with Brandon Jennings, his old teammate from Oak Hill. Now, I'm not sure how he's going to pay for that trip but it sounds like he's going to make it anyway.

I'm sure having a prior relationship/friendship with Jennings would make it permissable for Jennings to pay to fly him out there.

This is why 75% of NBA athletes are bankrupt within 2 years of getting out of the league!!!

??????

2 mil -- minus taxes bringhome 800k...a flight is maybe 600 bucks

I seriously doubt this is breaking the bank! This is a huge moment for these kids...one of the biggest moments of their lives....so of course they want all their friends and family around, dont be nieve

Derrick Coleman made over $78 million over his career, but is on the brink of filing bankruptcy. Also see Antione Walker...

I agree these kids are having issues with money...but flying people out to have their support o one of the biggest days of their lives is not the issue

I would assume it is more to do with houses, cars, jewerly, gf's...ect

Yes some mess up...but there are a lot of guys out there that do make it and do the right things...

My friend made 30 mil in his career and is now living nice in Houston without money problems...he had good agents that helped him budget his money and put some back, as well as make sound investements (mostly)...

The most important decision for these guys is the hiring of the agent, if you get someone that doesnt have your best interest in mind you end up like those two...unless you have a great support system (my friends family was not)...close second is learning to say no and not worry about people getting mad at you when you dont give them money (probably the hardest thing for a young person to do)...

Gallon will not play at ou again I assure you

Maybe not...but if capel is smart the most important recruit right now is gallon...letting him know he is wanted and needs to stay while also clearing him from the ncaa...without gallen next year we will really struggle

Lot's of rich people file bankruptcy for strategic reasons. Put it this way, you can make $1,000,000.00 per year, but if your debts are $1,000,001.00 per year, you can still file bankruptcy, even if you are sitting on $10,000,000.00 [which generally you have placed in a trust or something]. Rest assured, there are "high-end" bankruptcy/financial planners out there that actually seek out high-income people.

broad strokes and assumptions. it's unfair to cast brandon jennings in the same light as antoine walker when there is no evidence to support any claims. i highly doubt brandon is spending money on tiny for anything.

"After signing his rookie National Basketball Association contract worth nearly $4.5 million with the Milwaukee Bucks, Brandon Jennings could have walked into any dealership showroom in the city and driven away in something that said he'd arrived.

BMW 7-Series. Cadillac Escalade. Lexus LS600H. Mercedes-Benz S-Class. None of those would do. So Jennings is the proud new owner of a . . .

. . . Ford Edge. Starting MSRP: $26,900.

"I probably saved $40,000," Jennings says proudly. "And who knows with the league? There might be a lockout in a couple years. I'm saving my money."
