NORMAN – Following a two-game road swing, Oklahoma (15-5, 2-5 SEC) returns home to host No. 24 Vanderbilt (16-4, 4-3) on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CT inside Lloyd Noble Center.

The Commodores have won three of their last four games, including home contests against then-No. 6 Tennessee and then-No. 9 Kentucky. The Sooners are 2-0 this season against teams ranked No. 24 in the AP Poll, winning neutral-site games against Arizona in the Battle 4 Atlantis semifinals and against Michigan in the Jumpman Invitational.

Saturday's contest is part of Coaches vs. Cancer's Suits and Sneakers Week, a nationwide event that unites basketball coaches for a common cause: saving lives from cancer by promoting the importance of regular screening. The OU coaching staff will wear suits and Air Jordan 1 Low shoes during the game.

OU-Vanderbilt will be televised by SEC Network with Dave Neal (play-by-play) and Jon Sundvold (analyst) announcing. It will air on the Sooner Sports Radio Network (KRXO 107.7 FM The Franchise in Oklahoma City; KTBZ 1430 AM in Tulsa; Varsity Radio App) with Toby Rowland (play-by-play) and Kevin Henry (analyst) on the call.

OU - 2.5 o/u 152.5

This is a game where Bill Self will win with ease, but we will struggle. His big guy has post move and can score inside. We don't have inside threat. Our big can't hit 4 or 5 foot shot. The only way they score is lay-up or dunk.

2-0 against top 25 teams? … guessing the 2 a/m games and the bama game… dont count?

Or am I reading that wrong?

It’s a ridiculous statement in the release that we are 2-0 against teams ranked exactly 24th. I guess the poor folks writing these have a tough job tying to come to with things that sound good, so I shouldn’t be too hard on them, but I’ve never seen a more obscure reference in a game preview.

Sample size seems solid on that one. Vandy's doomed!

As long as we're in useless date-related trivia... it's the 2nd anniversary of the day Jerry Stackhouse's most decent team decided to stop screwing around and show up for a college basketball season. We lost by 57 points to Alabama on January 31 and then went on a 10 of 11 tear before losing in the SEC semis. (We still didn't really deserve to make the NCAA and didn't.) Bit late in the season to start playing, you say?

This is mostly irrelevant since you all weren't in the conference to feast on Stackhouse, but it is kind of nice to think how far we've come in one season. No more treating November through January like preseason exhibition games!
