GAME 27- OKLAHOMA (13-13) vs TEXAS A&M (18-8) 7:30pm CST on SEC NETWORK

Highlight of the season and Porter Moser’s legacy was hanging the jersey in the rafters for our most impactful 4 year player of this century with 25% capacity crowd.

Buddy deserved a MUCH better night than this team, this season and this performance
Yes, he did. It just so happens this is the 10 year anniversary of his Final Four team.

My, how far we've dropped off in ten years.

Open shots at the rim or open threes. I think we got this defense thing down.

Trae didn't win the Wooden. He finished behind Jalen Brunson.

But to your point, mixed about Trae being retired. Great Sooner, and one of the few who has supported the program like he has post-OU. Lead the nation in scoring and assists. I think he might have the highest PPG in OU history for one season, and obviously a career. The 4th most points in a season behind guys named Wayman & Buddy. First team All-American. Some points to be made why he could be considered to add his jersey to the rafters.

But the team also was underwhelming that year. Some nice wins and had to scrap to get into the tourney. Lost in the first round. Only played one season. And, IMO, we should retire jerseys and honor players for what they did while wearing the crimson and cream, not their NBA careers. Otherwise, Gar Heard or Clifford Ray might be in the rafters.

I would be okay if they did retire his number for what he has meant to the program, but I would also be okay if they didn't.

Thanks for correction. Wild he didn’t win with his stats.

Good post and agree. Something I think is worth mentioning is that OU was a complete dumpster fire the year before TY got there. TY carried that team to the tournament. A team that was not really projected to be good.

Lots of time left. But I’m still not convinced our D can get enough stops.
