General college hoops game thread

Nice defense by Tulsa to basically end it. But I'm not sure what North Texas was doing last defensive possession they may have been better off just playing D there. Or fouled earlier with more time left.

Ole Miss is trying to blow it but props to them for fouling up three, and then actually defending hard up one rather than sitting back and worrying too much about fouling.

In 12+ minutes of the second half, KU has scored 9 points. I love it.
Still not as dominant as what we did to them in 2002 in the Big 12 Tourney. Holding THAT KU team to 55 points was ridiculous. They couldn't do anything that game. That video should be used to show what nearly perfect "team defense" looks like.

I’ve watched a couple of games recently where teams were up 3, and the other team had the ball with 10 secs or less. The latest was the Tulsa game last night…and Tulsa chose NOT to foul (like we did against Mizzou). The announcers were quick in both to say the continuation rule has a lot to do with this. I just thought it was interesting, since literally everyone on here was ripping Porter for not fouling earlier in the year. In the end, the TU player defended the 3 pt shooter, and actually fouled him in the 3 pt shot attempt..which took it to OT, but they ended up winning anyways.

If I’m a coach, I probably still try to foul, but I can def see both sides.
