ESPN has been running down toughest/best arenas gimmick since its September and beside talk of impending conference doom, there isn't much hoops action.

Heres part of what Gottlieb wrote about the LNC.

Doug Gottlieb: Given the team I played for, I would have to say Oklahoma was the toughest road environment for me. While we won twice there in three tries -- and while OU doesn't traditionally fill up the Lloyd Noble Center for non-rivalry games -- the Kelvin Sampson vs. Eddie Sutton Bedlam days were special. We HATED them. Hated everything from their offense to their matchup zone to all the hugging and perceived fake hustle when they played on television. Norman is about 75 minutes from Stillwater and we always stayed at the Holiday Inn just off I-35. At 1 a.m. the night before we played the Sooners, members of their band played Boomer Sooner outside the hotel to serenade us.

Bonus: The mentioning of that article by Houck got Sooner Legend Hollis Price a little fired up on Twitter.

@mhouckOU @gottliebshow last I check ur favorite place to play in the big12 was the old Gallagher Iba if I'm not mistaken u where a senior.
In reference to the 2000 Bedlam game that closed out the "old Gallagher Iba" on Dougie's senior night

Fake hustle? WTF does that even mean?!?

I find that hard to believe. I've never seen a place crazy as Allen Field House. There's chum in the water everynight - MU, KSU, Popcorn State. That place is insane.

That win in 2000 in Stillwater had to be the sweetest win of the Kelvin era. Not the biggest, but DEFINITELY the sweetest. The slow-drip death the Aggies had to endure in the second half. Gottlieb unguarded at the top of the key......

Doogie has to throw a barb in there somewhere so he'll make one up!

He threw lots of barbs in there, implying repeatedly that our crowd only got up for games against oswho, which is nonsense. Every person on this board could name a dozen or more games in thirty seconds in which the LNC was rocking and neither team was wearing orange.
