Gonna need some help from the board on this one. I was talking with a friend and he said, "almost all of the great Oklahoma produced players went to OU if they stayed in the state".

The ones I could think of were:

OU
Blake Griffin
Ryan Minor
Alvin Adams
Wayman Tisdale
Stacy King
Ryan Humphrey
Brent Price
Choo Kennedy

OSU
Bryant Reeves
Joe Adkins
Byron Houston
Richard Dumas
John Starks

Tulsa
Shea Seals
Eric Coley
Dante Swanson

Who else is there? Who are we missing?

Byron Houston, Richard Dumas, and John Starks all went to OSU, but they can have them.

I don't know what you call great, best high school career, college, or NBA?
Richard Dumas was pretty good. If you are referring to high school career than you might put Page and Obi on the list.

Lester Lane was from Purcell. I'm sure all the older Drake era all-americans were Okies. Choo Kennedy went to Classen. Bobby Jack is from Ponca City. That's probably about the list of greats I would add for OU. There has to be more for OSU, but I'm not going to even try to look any of them up. I'm sure the Iba era 40s teams were mostly Okies.

If Joe Adkins is great, Brent Price is too. We'll ignore that whole South Carolina thing.

Choo Kennedy definitely counts by the Joe Adkins standard.

If Obi Muonelo counts as a "great high school career," we're going to have a long long list of players. Hell Renzi Stone had a better high school career than Obi.

I don't think you can go by high school career.

Ya, great college career is the minimum requirement here, followed by success at the next level.

Dang, forgot about Brent Price! I will update the list as we go along here.

Are Dumas, Houston, and Starks all from Oklahoma?
