Greg Doyel pimp slaps Scott Drew

DFW,

I will admit that I did not read most of your post, but have the following questions.

1.) Did a BU assistant threaten to deport a kid if they didnt go to Baylor?

and

2.) Is that BU assistant still on staff?

If the answer is yes, Greg Doyel had every right to pimp slap Scott Drew.

1. Answer to question #1 is NO.
2. Which makes question #2 irrelevant.

I explained factually what happened in my diatribe above.

A threat of deportation was never made. That is complete salacious media BS.

. The text I was told said that Hanner will not play at IU. Perhaps an empty threat but understandable given the level of betrayal. THERE WAS NEVER A THREAT TO DEPORT PEREA! To report that is ignorant at best; a flat out lie otherwise.

“I guarantee you if he does [commit to another school] he will be in Colombia for the spring and summer and next year. Don’t forget it,” the text message said.

when asked to produce the actual text, the Indiana boys hem-hawed and said that the NY Times misquoted them. Morefield believed that Perea's guardian in Colombia would not sign the LOI for Indiana.

The only thing that is factual from my understanding is that a veiled threat was made because Morefield felt betrayed. Perhaps an empty threat. But was he threatening to deport the kid? No.

Morefield was suspended for games and not allowed to recruit for some months. He's a great guy that cares about kids. He responded angrily to being betrayed by friends he had known for a long time. They went to the media because there was a hotly contested recruitment for Perea and they thought the negative press would sway Perea to IU. They were right. They got their guy.

But IU may have opened Pandora's box. The investigation has moved from Baylor to an investigation of AHOPE and how that organization that brought 8 kids from overseas (cost of maybe $16k) took in over $400k in contributions.

Who are the donors to this organization? Why are all these kids signing with Indiana?
