Guererro down to OU and ostate?

Saw somewhere today where it was OU, OSU and Iowa.

Also remember it James Hale and basketball so his finalist could be Vermont and Georgetown. :ez-laugh:

Yes...Hale has no clue about basketball, and his football info isn't much better.

I used to pay for his info and then realized I was getting better info from other posters who had way better info than Hale.

If he chooses OSU over us that is going to be a tough one to take. If that happens they may as well just shut this place down for about a week because it is going to be a meltdown of legendary proportions.

Landing this kid might be Capel another year (assuming axing him is on Joe C's mind right now).

Honestly, I'd rather start the re-rebuilding process next year, and not the year after.

Agree! Hale is an idiot.

You're a young Hispanic kid from a large population area.
Where do you feel more comfortable?

In a hick town where the school is owned by a guy named after Daniel Boone (from the Alamo) and the icon on one of town's bigger restaurants (Mexico Joe's) is a cartoonish, clownish guy in a sombrero or...

In a city with and near a decent Latino population with a school where guys like Juan Patillo, Victor Avila and Eduardo Najera played?

Hmmm?

Doesn't seem like a difficult answer.

He is still scheduled to make a trip to Iowa according to all the things I've read. Also I'm not counting KU out incase Taylor and Selby spilt.

According to this....http://oklahoma.stateuniversity.com/

and this....http://www.campuscorner.com/oklahoma-colleges/university-of-oklahoma-norman-campus.htm

Kansas....http://nces.ed.gov/globallocator/col_info_popup.asp?ID=155317

Iowa...http://www.uiowa.edu/admissions/undergrad/diversity/demographics.htm

None of these schools have a high hispanic population. If he wanted that, I'm sure he'd go somewhere in Texas like Utep.

Alot of demographics like this one are not as important as they were a few yrs ago. With Facebook, Twitter, etc, these kids can reach any community, city, etc in a matter of seconds. Also, with the way these young athletes get around, he could be in OKC or Dallas whenever he wants to, if being around people of his culture is a factor. Look at the inner city kids who sign with rural/small town colleges.

I just don't think that it is as big of a factor as it use to be. These guys get home sick, they just pick up their cellphones or log onto the internet......

@EricBurns30 Cezar Guerrero cancels visit to Iowa City due to finals conflict

I really do not have anything against James Hale, but if i had a nickel for everytime he said um or ah on the air i would be a rich man . Also his butt kissing when he introduces his guests gets a bit old. But he wants to be liked by everyone and not rattle any cages. Which is fine, but the internet has changed people like Hale's usefulness for "inside" information.

So if you had to put money down right now who do you think he picks? Before the OSU visit I thought OSU had no chance. Now I would pick OSU, but I think it is really close.

It just depends on if he likes cows or football. Honestly from the interviews, it seems like OSU.

OSU bound, unfortunately.
