Funny You mention CJ. Polla actually reminds me of a taller CJ. Big Strong Kid, not overly athletic but more fundamental then most kids.
My takes from watching the Germany game are that Polla is strong and physical in the post. Again not overly athletic, doesn't jump well in traffic and doesn't dribble well. Doesn't appear to have the softest of hands. Will set crushing screens. Every defensive possession he fouled even though it wasn't called. This was the theme for players on both teams though which for me made It a little hard to watch at times.
He will definitely have an impact from day one by bringing a physicality to practice that we haven't had in a long time. If I had to set a goal for this kid, it would be to strive to be like Kevin Bookout. Positioning and fundamentals I believe will be Pollas keys to success.
