What are your guys heads saying? Not heart. My heart says we win by 5-7...my head says we lose because we just haven't been as money with our shooting lately.

I did think we saw a lot more from spangs last game obviously but Woodard is struggling bad and looks more like last years Woodard and Buddy is in a "buddy slump" meaning he looks human not immortal like he was looking.

I'm just curious if you guys would lay money on an OU win or if you lean towards us struggling a bit against the Tex@$$ defense and physicality

Heart: 78-73 OU
Head: 67-62 tex@$$

I think we win a close one. We're better and I think we'll be determined.

I think we come prepared against Texas. We win.

Agree. It's getting crunch time now for a 1 seed. This team knows if they win out chances are they will get a 1 seed no matter what happens in the Big 12 Tourney. If they don't win out I believe they would have to win the Big 12 Tourney for a 1 Seed.

Heart: 72-66 ou
Head: 72-66 ou

I think the team starts to break out of its collective shooting slump and I will go out on a limb and say Woodard goes for at least 15 on above 50% shooting..and I'm not basing this on anything other then a gut feeling

It depends on how well we play defense. We plyaed D well against osewe the second half but doing that against texass will get us beaten. Wverybody plays great defense against us (at least for the first 3/4 of the game) which is why our scoring and Buddy's average has not been what it needs to be.

I think it could be our last loss before Kansas City. Of course, my hope is that the 2nd half of Bedlam was our coming back out party!

Of course my heart wants OU to win but my head says Texas wins it. They lost their last home game to Baylor and squeaked by KSU on Monday, so they have been able to prepare all week for OU and KU on next Monday for their last 2 home games. They still have a shot at 2nd place if they win these 2 home games.

I think it will be a dog fight but I like the Texas big man, and Taylor will hurt us with his dribble penetration. The home court gives them the edge in a game both teams need. I just don't see them losing their last 3 home games (assuming KU beats them).

UT 75-72

I don't know if we will win but I don't think we lose because of their home court. They have no home court advantage, kind of like us. The Erwin Center and hate to say it LNC isn't really intimidating to other opponents....

I watch a lot of basketball, I mean a lot and I have seen Texas several times in the past three weeks and Texas is having issues. Texas is not the same team that was playing lights out a couple of weeks ago, they are going through a slump just like OU. As for our Sooners, this past week, two good wins, one tough road game and a very good second half against oswho, I think OU wins based on our talent and its time for Buddy to have one of his "Buddy Ball" games.

OU 78
texass 62

We opened at 1.5 point favorites

Sounds about right....Kenpom had us as a 1-pt favorite. I have no idea what to think about this game. We could win by 10 or lose by 10. I do think we need to do our best to control the pace by getting out in transition. Texas is in their comfort zone when they can play slow and methodical. We need to run every chance that we get. The other two keys are obvious: limit TOs and rebound.

Could we lose to the whorns? Of course we could. Almost any Div. 1 team can beat any other Div. 1 team on a given day.

Will we lose to UT? I don't think so.

We're a much better team and the better team wins more times than not. Even if you give the whorns 6-8 points for home court (I believe 2-3 points at Austin is a more accurate figure), the Sooners are more than 6-8 points better than UT on most days if OU is hitting its shots.

My heart says we win by a dozen or more.

My head says we win by only six.
