I'm not sure if I've seen a worse Big 12 team since Baylor about 10-15 years ago.

Agreed! KU must have been thinking about ANYTHING other than basketball that night! I would have thought that feat would have been impossible.

Anyone know where KU ate their pre-game meal? We might not want to go there when we play TCU at home.

That is a shocker. Even more of shocker is that they go and get beat by 13 at home to WVU and then get destroyed on the road. I thought that game against KU might give them some confidence and make them a better team.

Their closest loss was 9 points to Tech in Fort Worth. They've lost every other game in conference by at least 11 points. That win over Kansas is just odd.

Looking at the rest of their schedule they probably won't win a game.

Something internally is/was going on with Kansas. There is no other plausible explanation.

There are rumors in the KC are that Self was caught having an affair. A friend is tied in to the KU program pretty tightly told me early last week that rumors flying among donors, and now it seems like there's some public speculation to it. By no means am I saying I know this to be true, and I've kept quiet for now, but there seems to be some smoke here, FWIW.

I'm still baffled by that loss.

It has to be the biggest upset in the history of the Big 12.... possibly even the Big 8.

That TCU team was/is putting together a bad season of historical proportions.

Consider that they are currently ranked #268 in KenPom's rankings. Outside of the almost equally horrible Texas Tech (#254), the next closest Big 12 team is Texas -- at #95!

Some of the teams immediately surrounding TCU and Tech in the KenPom ratings: Marist, Maine, SE Missouri State, Texas State, Texas San Antonio, North Dakota and Southern Utah.

These are all teams that have losing records in conferences such as the Big Sky, Summit, MEAC, etc.

I read similar things on Phog.net immediately after the TCU debacle.

That TCU team is awful. The only comparison that comes to mind for me is the Chaminade upset of Ralph Sampson's Virginia team. This isn't at that level, but it is a huge upset.

Even if that's true, the players still should show up and win a game like that. Kansas isn't as good as they have been in the past, but they are still real talented.
