How do you beat KSU?

Gotta go inside with RO and M'baye... have Hield harass McGruder all day on the defensive endeven if that means he limits his own offensive production.

We shut McGruder down pretty good last year. Maybe that is why we beat them twice.

True. We played very good D in both games and Pledger hit some big buckets in both games - especially at KSU.

McGruder is playing much better right now than he was last year so we will need to be even better.

Wasn't it Fitz that went off huge the 1st game. It was his birthday I think. Then when Martin over adjusted to that in the 2nd game, Pledger was left open to get them.

I think it was an easy task for Kruger to out X and O Martin. The new coach, mayby not so easy.

Martin's a better coach than Weber.

He couldn't possibly be. He is a green pea. He was an AAU coach. Then one year as an assistant. He has very little experience coaching at this level.

If you want to say that he can recruit better players than Webber or that he can bark and bully them into a high level of performance better than Webber, well, OK.

But, relative to Kruger, Martin is an X' and O's idiot. Webber not so much.

K-State makes a living with their pace and their ability to get second shots. Since we have shown that we can win playing at different paces, I believe this is a decent matchup for us. We've certainly gone into Manhatten with lesser teams (last year) and won.

I think defending the 3 point line and controlling the defensive boards are the keys to this game.

You are right about Fitz but Pledger was solid in both games (especially the 2nd).

@Norman, Fitz 21, Osby 18, Pledger 18
@KSU, Pledger 30, Clark 11, Osby 9

We are very evenly matched. I think it will be a close game at both locations. We've got to pull their bigs away from the basket...

Get the crowd out of it early and keep Mcgruber or whatever his name is contained. Should be a good one. I'm not overly optimistic but hoping like hell for a W.

Isn't McGruber Will Forte's comedy version of McGuyver?

Weber MAY be a better coach than Martin, but that doesn't mean he is a particularly "good" coach. I've never seen anything out of him that scares me as an OU fan. Matter of fact, I think when Martin's talent dries up, you'll see KSU fall down into the 5-7 range of the Big 12 most years.

Agree.
