I know they are going through a tough time right now. So I understand the Oklahoman's financial decision not to send a reporter to Alaska for the tournment.

But, for crying out loud, the OU basketball story on their website this morning is about the Houston game. Nothing about Nichols State. No wire story. No blogs - apparently they didn't even ask a reporter to watch the game on TV.

Frustrating.

I watched an Oklahoma city tv channel this morning. They gave a highlight reel of both OU and OSU football. The reel included every play worth mentioning from start to finish. There was a rather lengthly interview with both coaches.

They then went to the high school football play-offs. In no more than 15 seconds they showed Capel and the team in a huddle--an OU three point shot from a corner and basically said they went, they played, and won. Imagine how tough a job Coach has trying to convince young men to join in this.

Maybe they didn't know the Great Alaskan Shootout had anything to do with basketball
