Blew out the Heat with 3 main players out.

I watched part of it. blech. Knicks looked good and Miami looked meh except for LeBron. I wouldnt say NY looked like world beaters or anything - but the performance was impressive considering.

Knicks remind me of the bad boy Pistons team. They have a nice mix of physicality, perimeter shooting, defense & depth. There is little doubt Stoudemire is going to lead the 2nd unit when he comes back. That's pretty scary.

Woodson is by far front runner for coach of the year so far. Their home court advantage is off the charts at the Garden.

As for Melo winning MVP if they edge out the Heat for #1 in the east he will deservedly get his share of votes.

Carmelo is the MVP of the league right now

Be tough to give it to him while Durant is averaging the same PPG game on better shooting while averaging more rebounds, steals, assists, and blocks for a team with a better record.

It will be interesting if Anthony can keep up his torrid 3Pt shooting. He's made a huge improvement while shooting a TON of 3's. Have to believe that number will come back down to normal around 38% or so. Even that would be a career high!

I think Durant is MVP right now based on everything. However, it is crazy how similar Anthony, James, and Durant are in all statistical categories.

Yea I understand the raw stats part of it, I just like rewarding the best player on team that is miles and miles better than the year before. In addition, he is hitting clutch shot after clutch shot for them, like Rose two years ago. KD will have his moments if the Thunder would actually play some close games lol.

Lebron (1) and Durant (2) are the best players in the league, I just love what Melo is doing. When he plays this hard he is a load. I think the Olympics were big for him.

This.

Durant is the MVP thus far, with Melo not far behind.

Melo drops 22 in the 1st quarter. Understand, Durant would need to outperform them by quite a bit to get MVP over Melo or Lebron. If the Knicks were to finish 1st in the East the media capital of the world would make Carmelo virtually impossible to beat.
