Interesting Debuts ex-2010 Sooner recruits.

First one I found interesting was Trey Zeigler. Played 34 minutes and allowed to take 16 shots as a freshman. Finished 5-16 with 11pts for Central Michigan.

Marquis Carter played 18minutes, had 3pts on 1 of 4 from field with 3asst for Gonzaga.

Juwanza Poland with 12pts on 28 minutes off the bench. 3 of 9 shooting for South Florida.

James Johnson is Redshirting at Virgina

Tevor Releford started at point guard and had 5pts and 3asst in 24 minutes of play at Alabama

Kevin Noreen with 2 minutes 0 points and 1 foul and West Virginia.

Pat Swilling jr. 15minutes and 3pts at St. Joes in a loss to WKU
Jersey Gates: DNP at Sam Houston State.

Aziz Ndyaie hasn't played a game yet, but had 4 fouls in the first half of the exhibition game with Washington.

Doesn't really mean anything, but pretty interesting to me. Personally, I think OU got away like bandits with Calvin Newell. I feel he is bette than all the pg targets we looked at before him. Some of the bigs who chose to go to other schools like Johnson, Noreen, and Aziz may regret it because they would have gotten more minutes at OU

Ya the loss of Carter isnt as big of a deal because of Newell... Newell is a better athlete and has 4 years to play as well.

Still would have liked Poland and Ndaiye though.

I think our depth at PG is a real weakness so we could have used one of the other PGs since it's obvious Blair just isn't good enough.

Interesting that James Johnson is redshirting. Wonder why? Virginia is not very good. Hard to believe that he isn't good enough to play for them this year. Guess that means we won't face him in the Maui. Fine with me. One less guy with size that we'll have to contend with. Just kind of wanted to see him vs Nick Thompson.

Releford and Newell would probably make a nice backcourt duo.
