Officially we don't know what's going to happen with our current point guard, but if we do have to get one for depth or to replace. I've decided that Marquise is the one. He seems to be the most well rounded of the three pgs we're recruiting. Here's an old article I found from 2006. Jeff Withey is currently on the ku roster as a redshirt freshman. http://www.i95ballerz.com/story - marquise carter.html It's scary how much he looks like Nate in these pictures. BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!

There you go cool. Sorry about that. It's early and I'm seeing everything double right now. Short, but it provides some insight to why he wasn't highly recruited and how he approaches the game. BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!

Thanks for the link positive, I wish the kid luck no matter what he decides

I really like Carter. He may not be as athletic or flashy as other point guards on our list, but he is very efficient as a floor leader. He can also score, which is something we'll need next season from the PG position.

All I know is that Q. White wasn't flashy, but he ran the point perfectly. If he hadn't been injured for the Indiana game, I think we could have possibly cut down the nets that year.

Man, that and Holllis just having an awful shooting game.... We were tied with a few minutes to go even with our guards struggling big time. That one hurt, not as bad as 88 but almost....

Sign this guy up please! Sounds like the anti-thesis of what most people on here feel is the reason why our team was so bad this season (aau, bad seed, "me first" attitudes, questionable ethics, etc.)

“I was looking for an AAU team, but it didn’t work out” he recalled. “I guess God has another plan for me”.

my personal favorite:
“I try and wait for things to come to me”

He has probably matured even more after his time with the jc team.

YES!!!!!!:clap:clap

This is Nate's brother, right? If so, and he's anything like his brother, I don't even need to see a tape, sign the dude up! His brother played harder than anyone I've seen this side of Eduardo Najera.

If he's Nate's brother, why isn't he already in the bag? His brother played for Capel and OU desperately needs a starting point guard.

Wanted to thank whoever provided the links to the national junior college tourney games. I know that the leadership word didn't work out too good for us this past year, but Marquise seems like he could lead a young team. Marquise seems to play with a very healthy swag. I saw him defend a teamate one or twice after they were fouled hard. I don't know what the future holds, but I would love to have this kid. BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!
