I was looking at "another recruiting site" trying to look for additional up-to-date video footage of Tyler Neal. First place I looked was at the list of 2010 OU b-ball commitments, and it lists...

T.J. Taylor,
Cameron Clark, and
Justin McCay

Any chance McCay really tries to play hoops after the football season is over, or is this just flat-out bad info or speculation?

Also, as an aside, as far as I remember, this (football/basketball) hasn't been attempted/accomplished in the last 20 yrs at OU. Anybody else remember a player trying to play both sports at OU. It's been done with some success during that window of time at other schools...a few I recall are...

1. Charlie Ward (FSU)
2. Julius Peppers (UNC)
3. Ricky Dudley (tOSU)
4. Martellus Bennett (A&M)

I know Antonio Gates and Tony Gonzalez both played college basketball, but not even sure if they played college football. Any other basketball/football two-sporters you guys can remember.

Melvin Gilliam at Okla A&M was really good in both sports back in the late 80s.

matt jones did it at arky. not sure if he was any goood at bball but was decen little qb

Gotta throw Ronald Curry in there.

where's the precedent at OU, at least under stoops?

the answer lies in play's post.

i think ricky brady did it under gibbs and tubbs. seems like there was someone else who did it briefly.

Marcus Monk at Arkansas as well.

McNabb played both at Syracuse; he was on the 96 team that lost to UK in the title game.

No basketball players, but Brandon Jones played baseball. Which is a lot easier because the seasons don't overlap.

Don't forget Justin Gage, Adarius Bowman and Alonzo Mayes. Greg Paulus also did it, but at 2 different schools.

Who is the last OU athlete to play both? I know Ryan Minor played baseball and basketball.

Another OSU guy R.W. McQuarters.
