Interesting quote on the Gallon investigation

This is just crazy talk because some folks have a difference of opinion on how to move forward than you do.

Why do you find it necessary to question OU loyalty and/or suggest that others want OU to be heavily penalized and Capel gone just because their opinion differs from your own? I might take you more seriously if you simply argued your point without calling everyone else's character into question when they disagree with you. Until then, I will refer to you as "Mr. B.S.".

Have a nice day!

Because when "fans" take a TMZ report and pretty much nothing else and run with it to say that OU should "self-sanction" and effectively put itself on probation without any real proof of wrongdoing, I question motives and/or intelligence. Opinions are like a-holes, show me facts or shut the hell up, until then, all the "conjecture" is hurting the program [at least according to the coach in charge of said program]. Not a hard stance to take for "fan" of OU IMHO.

Thanks for proving my point. BTW, just use IMO because there isn't much humble about your a-hole, er, I mean, your opinion.

Nope. People attack OU, specifically OU's basketball program, with very little to go on, I'm pretty pretty much an a-hole about it, on that we can definitely agree.

I just thought of a BRILLIANT idea...OU should hire Jack Bauer to kidnap Orande and the Hausinger guy, then we should take both of them to the basement of the practice facility and have Jerry Shmidt waterboard them both (with a little beratemet thrown in) until the truth comes out. Record it and then send the tapes to the NCAA.

Let's do it! :ez-roll:

I nominate you are the "Dealer of Beratement" :D

I think you have comprehension issues, becuase nobody that I am aware of has accused OU of stonewalling anybody....to even compare the OU situation with the USC situation is a joke. Not really even a joke, but sad on many different levels.

For pete's sake, pay attention. I never said anyone had accused OU of stonewalling. Honestly, do me the favor of reading my posts before you respond to them.

But Tiny (and perhaps his mother) and OT are stonewalling, and there have been several posters who have tacitly or overtly endorsed that.

That's what I'm disagreeing with. I don't want either of those clowns to stonewall. I want them both to come clean and tell all they know. If they (and therefore OU) are found innocent, great. If not, I want it aired out and dealt with. I want them to do what's best for OU, and in my opinion, what's best for OU is for them to come clean.

Got it now? I hope so because that's the last I'm going to post about it. You can rant and rave in your haze of misunderstanding all you like, but you'll be arguing with yourself going forward.

I think you misunderstood. Skyvue is merely saying that not encouraging OT to cooperate with the NCAA could put OU in a similar situation with USC. Some have suggested that OT stonewalling is good for OU. Skyvue, and myself for that matter, believe it is better to encourage OT to cooperate now and proactively deal with the situation. If OT doesn't and the truth comes out after a 5 year investigation, things would be much worse for OU than if they come out now. And if, in fact, there are no major infractions, then OT should cooperate to get the cloud of suspicion above our program to disperse.

I understand your impatience with those calling for Capel, Joe C. and even Boren's head and major sanctions for OU based on circumstantial evidence, but I think you are off in this situation. OU should aggressively investigate, which they appear to be doing. Encourage OT to cooperate, no way of knowing whether this is occurring. And self-sanction if any wrongdoing is discovered, which historically OU has done.

Back to the USC example, the basketball team self-reported and self-sanctioned and got off much easier than the football program that refused to cooperate.

Weird, what does OU need to be "found innocent" of at this point? I always thought that it was "found guilty". You get it now smarty?

BTW, I've always thought of it as a puss move to ditch when you are losing.

1. Can you show me that hasn't occurred?

2. Who says that isn't happening?

3. Upon discovery, I expect nothing less.

4. USC is absolutely irrelevant in what is being discussed.

Always a fan of your posts and I also believe that if there is anything to air, it needs to be aired. What I don't know is how OU can possibly put any pressure on either OT or Tiny. I guess the university can be on record as saying that they want them to tell the truth, but I don't see how OU has any leverage to make them come clean, if there is something being concealed.

I should also add, that I don't think OT and Tiny have common interests with OU. What is beneficial to OU might very well be detrimental to them, which I think makes it even more difficult to make them cooperate.

According to his Twitter page, he missed his flight to Milwaukee, and lost his passport...:facepalm

If by my "losing" the argument, you mean that I've had my statements and stances repeatedly misconstrued and misrepresented by you, then yes, I'm "losing." Big time.

Life's too short to waste time debating with someone who can't -- or won't -- grasp your arguments.

But I've got to hand it to you -- you're branching out. You're dipping your toe into the deep waters of semantics -- though, alas, with limited success. "Presumed innocent" is a legal concept; OU is not in a court of law. The NCAA will find we're guilty of an infraction, or they'll find that we're not. Period. The latter could be described by anyone with a reasonable grasp of the English language as being "found innocent." Or "found not guilty." Or any of a dozen other phrases that mean basically the same thing.

Have fun chasing your own tail, all the while convinced it's mine.

If we can get evidence, we by all means should and turn it directly over to the NCAA. I don't want OU to hide anything and, you're right, if we can find it, so can the NCAA. Better to get it over with now...

But...If OU and the NCAA can't find any evidence without OT cooperating... Well, let's just say I can live without OT cooperating.
Ditto
