I saw that too but the moronic official standing right there had already thrown up his hand for a 3 if it had gone in. You'd hope they would be smart enough to review the call, but I wouldn't count on it!

I actually thought the officiating last night was the most one-sided I've seen all year. Baylor players repeatedly fouled OU in the last 6-8 minutes of the game, a period that just happens to coincide with Baylor's big comeback. I don't normally blame a loss of the officials, and fortunately I won't have to this time either – since our Sooners won the game while playing 5-on-6.

I imagine that the zebras would have chickened out on reviewing it, since they were in Skeletor's House (even though the witch was in Lubbock last night, at the same time).

On the other topic (OU's coaching/team performance) during Baylor's huge rally, I can't fault Coach Kruger. Of course there are always things that a coach would have done differently having the benefit of hindsight. But I mostly put the blame on our kids for basically wilting under the Bears' late game blitz. Those young players of ours have generally performed well under duress and have refused to cave in when opponents tried to mount comebacks late in games. The final 6-8 minutes of last night's game was not typical of the way the Sooners have responded in those situations this season.

They didn't wilt, they won a big road game. Perhaps they bent a little but they did not break. Hield was huge. If I had anything negative to say it would be OU missed a bunch of free throws down the stretch. Osby, Pledger and Hornbeak all missed at least one. I think M'Baye missed a few. Those free thorws need to be made but who cares. OU WON!

I'm with you. I came home about 9:30 ET and read this board before watching the game. I was fully prepared, based on reactions here, to see us fall apart over the last ten minutes of the game, but that's not what I saw at all.

The officiating blew -- Baylor was given free rein to maul us during their comeback -- and the Bears hit some key shots, but we didn't embarrass ourselves. We hit some key shots ourselves and made some solid plays. Of course Baylor was going to make a run at us -- who would have expected otherwise, with the game in Waco? -- but our guys hung tough and secured the win.

I thought we played better down the stretch of this game than we did against texas.

It was funny to listen to the announcers going crazy over Baylor's "amazing" comeback. Were they really surprised? Baylor's considered a better team than we are, and they were at home. The surprise would have been if they hadn't come storming back. There are very few road upsets in big-time college hoops that don't see the home team at least making a run at the visitors.
