that the national communists against athletes are deliberately dragging their feet on announcing a decision for the purpose of imposing punishment in addition to the "official" one? I cant adequately describe the contempt I have for that bunch of illegitimate politicos.

I'm sure they've better things to do these days....Auburn, Oregon, Boise, Ohio State, etc. Probably gotten behind.

But that is the point. There is nothing left to do. The investigation is done. The joint report between OU and the NCAA investigators is done. The joint recommendation for punishment from OU and the NCAA committee has been submitted. All the NCAA has to do is rubber stamp an agreement that is already in place. The fact that it has taken this long is absurd.

NCAA is just enforcing the rules OU agreed to. We need to stop cheating once and for all. Instead of directing anger at the NCAA it should all be directed at our enforcement office for constantly being asleep at the wheel.

It is possible to be angry at two things at the same time. For instance, I am angry at everyone involved in cheating at OU (coaches, players, enforcement staff, etc). I am also angry at the NCAA for dragging its feet in announcing the punishment that OU earned. If the NCAA wants to punish OU a certain way, then it should do so through the rules agreed upon. It should not punish OU outside the rules and procedures by delaying its ruling, which creates a de facto punishment that is outside the system.

Exactly! The infractions committee busted their collective arses to announce a decision about Cam Newton so he wouldn't miss the NC game. You can't convince me that their investigation was complete at that point. Nor do I believe that what Newton's father did in peddling his son's services for $80K was not a whole lot worse than anything Tiny, his mother and his benefactor did, no matter how that measley $3K was used. I could go on in describing the hurry they were in to clear the way for the other schools on tycat's list.

You danged straight we're being punished! The NCAA is deliberately dragging their feet to make recruiting more difficult, and to make OU sweat. I lost respect for that organization long ago. It gets worse with every day they fail to spell out the infractions we'll be facing.
