Isu @ osu

He's benching Carter or Kornet

She's a different type of player. Carter can create her own shots. Kornet can defend the larger player and can rebound. They are a different need.

Buckley is a point guard who can get hot shooting. She can also have an off game that costs her team. In Ames, she scored zero against OU and had two turnovers and three assists, after hitting six of seven in Norman from three. She also had one rebound in Ames. Twenty-nine one day, but averages eleven. That basically means she averaged two in the next two games.

Yeah, none of our players have cold shooting nights.

If she is so bad how is she shooting 43% BTA? I'm pretty sure Sherri could find a spot for someone shooting that % right now.

She's not in conference play.

If you want a freshman in this conference, I'd rather have Leticia Romero who I think will be a star and who can take over a game. With our team, I'd much rather have Baylor's Davis or Texas' Jones. I think a good point guard shuts Buckley down, and we did after we saw her first game--from 29 to 0.

I not going to say we couldn't use other players in the league because obviously we could. I was just talking about Buckley because she was the one playing on TV tonight and she was the best player on the court.

For tonight, maybe. Buckley, from what I've seen this year and from what I saw against Moncrief, is a kid who can be good if she isn't challenged. If you stay on her, she gets rattled. Moncrief made her look bad, and she lost the Miami game for Iowa.

After we saw her, we guarded her in Ames. Look at what she did when we put someone in her face. Her stat line was non-existent. She may be as good now as she will ever get.

Romero is the best freshman point in the league, and I don't think it is close. She's a Spanish national team member, I think. She can make things happen.

She very well might be but as a sooner fan it's kinda hard not to argue Davis she has owned us this year.
