that aggie got Marcus. And now he is coming back?!?! smh

I told you guys this was a possibility. Matter of fact, I thought it would happen. Never seemed like a kid that cared about the money first. He returns to what he thinks is a good team, and gets to play another year with his buddy.

I never counted on him leaving either. I'm not at all surprised that he's staying.

And the only reason I wish he'd left is because of the excessive hype that surrounds him (and yes, the flopping). If the media treated him like the strong player he is but not God's gift to hoops (which he has yet to prove himself to be), I'd have no problem with the guy (except for the fact that he's an aggie).

But for a handful of questionable calls down the stretch at historic GIA, he'd be 0-2 against OU right now.

I wonder if the adoring Big 12 media will award him Player of the Year in advance of the 2013-14 season. He didn't earn it last season and they gave it to him; why not go ahead and give him his second award now? Why make him wait?

I bet he's getting first round money to stay. Boones farm pays top dollar.

He sure in the hell doesn' need to come back to work on his flopping.

Sounds like the Hillybilly got on all fours for him.

He's projected as 3rd pick in draft and decides to return to Stoolwater??? Yeahhhhhh, that' makes perfect sense!

There's nowhere for his draft stock to go but down. He stands to lose millions of dollars for what? A chance to finish 2nd in the big12 and lose in the second round of the tourney. That, my friends, is ignorance.

Poor financial decision. He's not going to go as high next year as he would have this year. That being said, as long as he can make it to a second NBA contract, the rookie contract becomes chump change, and the difference between going number 5 this year and numbmer 12 next year becomes virtually nothing.

Who's going to go ahead of him next year in the draft if he plays great and the Pokes make a deep run in the tourney? How would he not be the #1 or 2 pick?

This year's high school class is a lot better than last year's. He isn't going #1 overall over someone like Wiggins

It's got to be Boone man! just got to be!

Dem darn sheepherders up der in dat stoolwater gots dat boonepikins payin little stevie clark and marcus smart!!
i need me sum of dat natty light and billy sims now

BOOMER!

Why would anyone stay in Stillwater any longer than he has to?

So where does Clark fit in? The OSU starting lineup will still be
Smart
Brown
BWilliams
Nash
Cobbins

Forte plays starter minutes already and Murphy will backup Nash and Cobbins.. lots of talent but not a lot of minutes to go around.

Roster has 15 schollie players IF JPO comes back so that will have to get figured out. OSU has the top 3 returning scorers in the entire Big 12 in Smart/Nash/Brown.

Clark will be backup PG.
Forte/Mostella will backup Brown.
Hammonds/Carrol will backup Bwill
Murphy Will backup Nash
Gary Gaskins/Soucek will backup Cobbins
Clark will get a taste for D1 ball play behind Smart and he will get 3 years to shine after Smart leaves.

Because this 2012 draft is a VERY weak class...

Reason #1: Andrew Wiggins (by a LARGE margin)

Reason #2: Julius Randle

Reason #3: Jabari Parker

Reason #4: Aaron Gordon

Reason #5: Andrew Harrison

Etc, etc...

Well there's like six kids coming to Kentucky next year that will almost all be lottery picks.

I am glad he's staying.

OSUx having a good team is good for this state and I like it when any of the upper-tier talents stays in school.

meh, so they'll be harder to beat. Gives Lon a challenge.
