Little is a good player that has for a good part of the year played poorly. Sherri has been letting her play through it.

I think the key to her turnaround is that she is now playing with her hair down, and she is not putting it in a bun.

I think this is like Samson and his hair, she simply didn't have her strength until she got her hair back.

Let it flow. Of course, it could be something else.

Don't remember her with anything but a ponytail. Maybe Ortiz you're thinking about?

I've watched the Iowa State game three times, and I must admit that I had not noticed Peyton's hairstyle at all. It does seem that she and Maddie have let their ponytails grow a bit longer.

I noticed she has a braid going into her ponytail now.

I wonder if Peyton, Maddie, and Kay Kay have a contest to see who can let it grow the longest?

I don't know, but it's out of the realm of possibility that Peyton (or any other player) could change their hairstyle due to superstition. I read an article about Odyssey Sims where she said if she had a bad first half, she always changed - something - head band, shoes or hairstyle - at halftime.

BTW, regardless of hair style, if we keep winning games we are suppose to lose, we are liable to be accused of being a decent team at some point.

OK, having reserved the right to change my depth chart based upon any factors or for no reason at all, here it is:

KK/vivi at the 5

Treece/shaya at the 4

Carter/wyatt at the 3

little/manning at the 2

gabbi/manning at the 1

Where I put my entire second team in, I'm going with T'ona at the 1.

I am considering moving maddie to the 1, and going with carter and little on the wings. Haven't made up my mind.

As you might guess, the above is why I am not consulted or a coach.

The question is who is Delilah, the one who talked her into going to the bun in the first place.

When we had Peyton, Maddie, and Gioya in the game together, it seemed that it mattered little who was in there with them (except that Treece was out of control). They made some things happen, and each of them found ways to score.

It was interesting that we tended to use Maddie as a point on defense. She was constantly chasing the ball on front. The commentators said she tended to force the other team to keep the ball on one side or the other. I didn't really see that. But, she seemed to get the ball occasionally, and it always seemed to result in an immediate downcourt pass to Peyton for an easy layup. It does seem to be difficult to get the ball over her.

Yet, somehow, she kept tending to get offensive rebounds. I think she was credited with four. I only remember scoring on one (Vivi). Peyton missed two free throws on another. Gabbi turned it over on another. But, those four rebounds allowed us to keep the ball for about an extra two minutes at the end of the game.
