Murray has the Face of a bust, unless he can play Point guard, I don't see anything special...

It will not be shocking or bad if Buddy gets picked after him

I don't see that at all - looked like he had a lot of Damian Lillard in his game. Reality is because of Buddys age he probably will fall behind some of these younger guys like Dunn and Murray - hopefully means he goes into a better landing spot then a total rebuild job.

Most important stat is age. Jamal Murray is one year removed from High School.

Murray torched the US in the fiba games, and was a phenomenal player at Kentucky. All signs point to him being a very solid pro.

I think Murray vs Hield is kind of a Beal vs. McCollum argument. One is a high-ceiling youngster, the other a proven commodity. Their skillsets overlap to a fair degree. With health being equal, which one do you want on your team next year? In five years? Could either be a franchise cornerstone for a winning organization?

I don't think we're seeing Buddy peak, is the intriguing thing. He pushes himself SOOOOOOO hard that you almost worry he could burn out, but he's got the right mental tools to keep a step ahead. Murray, he could be great with his eyes closed... we'll see if Calipari Ball has given him a running start at League success or if he's gonna need a hard reboot like a few of the guards (Knight, Doron Lamb, Archie Goodwin) who've come out of UK as freshmen.

NBA teams weigh age more than pretty much any other factor. I'm biased but I'm taking Buddy for multiple reasons. Proven scorer for 3 years, got better each year with shooting percentages--means he puts in the work more than anyone but the Black Mamba himself.

Murray will probably be taken first simply because of age. It's a shame because Buddy has him beat everywhere else on the court and athletically.

Besides ball handling, passing, defense, & the ability to play 2 positions. Buddy is the better shooter & athlete.

I would take Murray, and I'm a huge Buddy fan.

Murray does none of those things better than Buddy. His defense is one of the weakest in the draft. If Buddy was 2 years younger it wouldn't even be a debate.

Buddy may be the worst ball-handling guards I've seen in a long time! In the NBA, he also may have a hard time getting his shot off. Buddy is a good defender, yes. But you are not giving Murray the credit he deserves. Buddy will be an OK pro, but he could be great if he could just dribble, which he can't.

you are correct the buddy of 2 years ago wouldn't get drafted at all ..

After watching Buddy on After Dark with Rick Fox, you can't help but root for him...

When it comes to Murray he's always compared to Buddy so it's hard to give the guy any credit when every time Buddy is brought up he's looked at a senior dominating a bunch of freshman, which simply isn't the case. What makes you think Buddy won't improve his ball handling? The dude has work ethic second to none. He's already working with Kobe on that part of his game. Murray isn't a great ball handler either and lacks quickness. His future is most likely at PG. When I watched that Kentucky team the player that impressed me the most was Tyler Ulis. Dude looks like a Isaiah Thomas 2.0

and 2 years ago Murray was 16 so what's your point? Potential is the biggest thing that annoys me about the NBA draft.

If you think I'm biased to OU players you got the wrong person lol Buddy is going to be a good player in the NBA and yeah I think he'll be better than Murray. Just praying he is drafted by the right team.

I think buddy will be a good pro and he vould easily have a better career than Murray. But if you think buddy handles the ball, passes, and defends better than Murray then you are either biased or not watching the game.

Buddy has more potential as a defender bc of his athleticism and length, but he isn't a good defender at all right now.

Your last sentence is the biggest reason I think Buddy will be the better player. athleticism. Too many times Murray can't get a good shot up in the paint from what I've seen. If I'm taking a SG I'll take the better shooter and defender over passing. Not worried about handles either because that can be worked on unlike athleticism.
