You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but bilas is an elitist and he constantly slobs on dukes knob. He is one of those good ol' boys who doesn't like seeing upstart programs take the shine away from his beloved blue bloods like dookie, unc, & ku. He is anything but unbiased IMO.

OU fans. Don't like any announcers. Think all officials are out to get us and/or help Kansas. Think all sports writers suck and hate OU. Hate any program that has had sucess (KU, UK, Duke, NC).

Actually the only NCAA announcer I dislike is jay bilas. I love me some vitale, Fran and gus Johnson et al. Bilas is a cynical douche with a clear bias in my eyes.
I have to agree with WTSooner...our fan base in both football and basketball seems to get agitated by the announcers very easily. As for Jay Bilas, I think if Buddy Hield came to a sudden halt, Jay's head would have gone halfway up his you-know-what. He couldn't have possibly been more respectful to the young man. So, he said good things about Kansas as well. It's his job. I bet if I went to a KU board, there would be a bunch of their fans complaining about Jay as well for all the drooling he did over Buddy Hield. And if I posted on their boards, I would basically tell them the same thing - Buddy Hield is the best player in America. It's Jay's job to pay him extra compliments.

Vitale and Fran have caught a lot of crap from OU fans this year.
Just seems like they aren't happy with anyone.

it isn't just OU fans that act like this. It is ALL fans.
I was mildly annoyed by the "of course he's going to make the free throw comment", but I think Jay Bilas is the absolute best in the business. He is not afraid to call it as he sees it, and will light the refs up for making bad calls. He is one of very few sports media personalities that I consider to be intelligent.

Agree.... I totally understand why someone could consider him to be arrogant or elitist; he definitely has a little douchiness to him; but on pure content and merit, he's excellent.
And ESPN in general this year has absolutely DROOLED over Buddy. You couldn't possible receive more accolades and respect than he has received from the national media. OU has been a universally respected team with a universally respected star this year. I haven't seen any bias at all.

This just couldn't be further from the truth.
Some people have so much Duke hate in them that they assume anyone who went to Duke or ever says anything good about them is not objective.
For example, Bilas picked Virginia to beat Duke at Duke Saturday morning.
