Just wanted to make aware to some of you about the passing on August 5th of one of the basketball program's biggest fans, Mrs. Jo Anna LaPorte. She could be spotted by her signature crimson hair standing, not often, but always behind the Sooner bench. Anyone who has attended or watched any number of games on TV knows exactly to whom I am referring. The Sooner faithful lost a great one, so I just wanted to acknowledge the loss of one of our few female die-hard OU basketball fans.

Thank you, Mrs. LaPorte. The LNC won't be the same.

I'm sure she's in a much better place. I will remember the smile she had. She will be missed but not forgotten. BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!

Thanks for sharing that with us, red.

I never knew Mrs LaPorte personally, but I saw her at every game and MBB function that I have attended. Seemed like a great fan.

May she rest in peace.
