Jordan Woodard

You and I are in agreement that we both seem to really want Omega Harris. I can't quite pinpoint why. I know in his highlight videos he looked like a smaller version of Willie Warren, at least in my opinion.

Harris is a must have IMHO. Clark is a great player, but I think that he needs the ball in his hands too much. Harris is better for OU becuase he doesn't seem to force the issue. Just so smooth.

We still have to sign a guard or two for 2013. Otherwise we go into that season with Hornbeak, Cousins, Hield, and Clark as the only true 1-3 position players. Sure, Neal and M'Baye might play out there some, but we still need another body. It also helps spread the guards out, class-wise.

There will still be room for Harris in 2014.

I know it is "iffy" at best, but you forgot about Henry, who will be a wing in our program. IF I'm CLK, I'm redshirting Arent, Neal and Cole, and your 2013-14 roster looks like this:

Post:

Arent [Sr.]
Bennett [Sr.]
M'Baye [Sr.]
Spangler [So.]

Wing/Guard:

Cam [Sr.]
Neal [Jr.]
Henry [Fr.]
Cole [Fr.]
Cousins [So.]
Hornbeak [So.]
Heild [So.]

OU needs three post players asap and we can sell the minutes. If we don't get a guard in this class I won't be disappointed. In CLK I trust, but I'd be all over post players in recruiting for 2013 and focus on Harris for 2014.

I actually like Henry as a small 4. From what I've read/seen, he has less ball/perimeter skills than M'Baye. More in line with Osby or Taylor Griffin in that regard. He'll be thin, and he'll be able to stretch the floor a bit, but I still see him as a 4. Guess we'll find out in a year or two.

NO, NO, NO... Why redshirt non players at this level. No offense to them, I like neal, cj is a great kid, and I know Arent cant play at this level very much...

They need to move on quickly, they are great team players, avg role guys, but they arent going to start anytime at OU, barring major turnover/injury...

I could maybe see red shirting Neal. He'd athletic and has shown a good shooting touch, at times. He could use that year to figure out whether he can be a stretch 4 in LK's offense. I don't see any value in red shirting Arent. That scholarship would be better used on a freshman or transfer big.

Kruger said Arent has shown improvement this summer. He isn't a "stiff" but he certainly wasn't ready for B12 play either. I could see him being a legitimate big off the bench in 2014. Either way, we need at least two post players, and Omega Harris in 2014 :-)

Kruger is counting down the days until Arent is off scholarship, no way he should be given a redshirt year.
