Kelvin has one juco player on roster... but he is a role player who rarely plays. During his run in Houston the last few years, his best players (Corey Davis, Rob Gray, etc) were juco players.

Looks like he is loading up on grad transfers, but some aren't eligible.

Quentin Grimes - Kansas (not eligible)
Cameron Tyson - Idaho (not eligible)
Brison Gresham - UMASS (eligible)
Justin Gorham - Towson (eligible)
Dejon Jarreau - UMASS (eligible)

Who ever he has on the roster, he will get them to play hard

He's getting some higher-end players now. Less need for them. Similar to his last year before he left and we lost that class. Scottie Reynolds and those guys.

Yea that worked out really well for Sampson...

Who needs guys that help you go 103-33 in a 4 year stretch at a total dump of a basketball program?

I hear ya. But Grimes is better than any JUCO prospect.

No doubt about it... It's also possible he just didn't like the Texas juco talent pool this year. Will see what he does next year.

Kelvin "cheated" to get the best talent he could get. And that comes from high schools.
You're slightly delusional if you think otherwise.

lol, give me a break. Most of that "cheating" was phone calls to an already committed Austin Johnson.

I think he'll need less JUCO's if he recruits right at Houston. Even though they are in the AAC, it's still Houston. TONS of HS talent around there, even if he has to wait for those guys to fail elsewhere and transfer "back home."

Are you saying he didn't "cheat", or are you saying he only "cheated" to get one player?

Either way, my point was that Kelvin was doing all he could to get better talent and was moving away from juco players in his final years in Norman.

OSU turned him in for too many phone calls. NCAA changed the rules the year after and still banned him 5 years.

Youre delusional. He wasnt paying players. Yes he "cheated" he made too many phone calls!

Do you know what it means when someone puts something in quotes?

How are grad transfers ineligible?

My bad... D1 transfers. So used to using the term "grad transfer", slipped up.

Yep. I knew what you meant. No big deal. I know Quentin Grimes is just in his 2nd year..... OU recruited him along with Jamal Bienemy in the same class.
