KD also tweeted asking all of his twitter followers to donate $10
I saw it referred to as his 'family foundation'. How do we know that it's funded partially by outside donations.
A large oil company?
It is easy to think large corporations are cheap (and you didn't say that) but people forget they get asked for money all the time. They also have operations all over the place so they might be matching $50K in another state at the same time.
Everything is relative. KD has already earned over $200 million playing a game part time.
If a person with $200 in their pocket came across a destitute person in massive need & gave that person 1$ would they be considered generous or cheap?
The teachers working for $40k a year who would have gave their life protecting their students are the real role models.
Yes, but that was still very generous of him. He donated as much as Chesapeake and the Thunder did. You don't see any other individuals doing it. Not taking anything away from us common folk or the teachers, but you have to be impressed by him and thankful we have such an upstanding basketball player in our backyard.

I'm sure there are a lot of individuals donating money.
Matt Kemp is one. I'd bet that Blake Shelton and Toby Keith donate at some point.
Explanation of his tattoos.

I was talking about that size of donation. Of course every bit helps and hopefully more celebs/athletes with ties to Oklahoma or not will continue to give. I have heard that Toby Keith is wanting to do a benefit concert at Owen Field with the proceeds going to the rescue/recovery.
Deos a standard homeowner's insurance policy cover a loss due to a tornado in Oklahoma?
I believe so. I think the only thing that needs a special rider or separate policy is flood damage. After hurricanes, I have read about insurance companies trying to get out of paying claims because they said that after the roof was blown off of houses, the damage was done by a 'flood'.
