Played three years at Arizona State after redshirting during 2002-03 ...started 43 games (all 28 in 2005-06) in 87-game career and hit 229-of-282 (.812) free throws in his career (fourth-best in ASU history), including 157-of-187 (.840) in Pac-10 games ... finished ASU career with 181 made 3-pointers in 482 attempts (both fifth in ASU history) and .376 career 3-point percentage (seventh-best)] ... earned honorable mention All-Pac-10 and second-team NABC District 15 honors and was only Pac-10 player to be ranked in top-10 of eight categories, as he was first in minutes per game (38.96) and 3-point field made per game (2.89), fourth in 3-point percentage (.378), sixth in steals per game (1.50) and free throw percentage (.810), ninth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.34) and scoring (15.0 points per game) and 10th in assists per game (3.54) ... played 11 40-minute games on the year, including seven of the final 11 games, and averaged 40.2 minutes in final 12 games ... had seven 20-point games and 24 double-figure scoring games ... scored a career-high 27 points vs. Minnesota on Dec. 5 ... had 22 points vs. Oregon State in the Pac-10 Tournament including five 3-pointers ... tied for second in the nation at 38.96 minutes per game and played 1,091 out of 1,140 possible minutes (.957), also second in the nation ... his 81 3-pointers made was fourth-best in school history and 201 3-point attempts is seventh-best.

Ranked in the league's top-10 in four categories as he was ninth in assists (3.44 per game), fifth in free throw percentage (.821), seventh in 3-pointers made per game (2.16) and fourth in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.2) ... notched double digits in 17 games and averaged 12.2 points in the final 13 games ... was 66-of-74 (.892) from the foul line in Pac-10 games, second in the league ... posted 22 points vs. Washington on March 10 in Pac-10 Tournament ... also had 17 points at Washington on Feb. 24, at USC on Feb. 12 and had 18 points (10-of-11 from free throw line) vs. UCLA on Jan. 13, 2005.

FRESHMAN (2003-04) - ARIZONA STATE

Made 35-of-44 (.795) from the free throw line, fifth-best best by a freshman in ASU history, and also had 31 3-pointers, (seventh-best) in rookie season ... averaged 29.0 minutes, 12.4 points and shot 27-of-59 (.448) from three and was team's second-leading scorer in the final nine games and earned Pac-10 All-Freshman honorable mention honors ... had 22 points, including 6-of-10 from three, at Arizona on March 7 and his six 3-pointers at Arizona was the most by a Sun Devil since 2001 ... had 17 points in season-high 40 minutes at Oregon on Feb. 21 and 20 points in first start at Oregon State on Feb. 19.

Did not play as he used the season as a redshirt year.

HIGH SCHOOL

A 2002 graduate of Walton High School in Atlanta, Ga. ... two-year letterman ... coached by Joe Goydish ... averaged 25 points, eight assists, six rebounds and four steals in his senior year and was a two-time all-county pick (2001-2002) ... a two-time all-city pick (2001-2002) who earned all-state honors in senior year (2002) and averaged 20 points, seven assists, four rebounds and four steals in junior year.

Kevin Michael Kruger was born May 1, 1983, in McAllen, Texas ... graduated from Arizona State this past summer with a bachelor's degree in justice studies ... currently working towards a master's degree ... son of Lon and Barbara Kruger ... has a sister, Angie (26) ... Kevin's dad Lon is UNLV's head coach.
