Dee Kanter officiated the OU-Duke game. They shot 30 free throws we shot 12. She also officiated the USF game earlier this year. They shot 31 free throws, we shot 12.
She has called 6 of our games over the past 2 years. Our opponent has shot more free throws than us in all but 1 - even though that was not the norm over the season last year.
This is even more interesting:
Carla Fountain also officiated the OU-Duke game. Guess when we last saw her? In the Kentucky game in the Bahamas. I believe she was the one who called the "strange" foul at the end that ended up costing us the game - although because of the way that was put on video I cannot go back and absolutely verify it..
I happen to watch for officiating assignments because anyone who uses statistics (like my sibling who is a math genius) to predict games and likely point spreads knows that is often the very best predictor of both winning and point spreads. If you doubt it, start tracking it.
