Funny how you can form an opinion about a player by watching their demeanor and body language on the court. I never thought Kristian Doolittle had the goods to be a team leader. I changed my mind after watching his interview. He’s obviously a confident, committed young man who understands what this year’s team needs to do to be better than last year.

Do you agree our only senior is ready to be a leader in his final season?

I remember being very impressed by some of his interviews last season (and posting here to that effect).

I think we fans often make the mistake of assuming we can interpret a player's body language and facial expressions. It's an understandable impulse on a fan's part, but I think it's best avoided. We just don't know these young men well enough to make such assumptions.

I also think some players (and this may apply to Doo) start out as shy and awkward and uncomfortable in the spotlight, but over time they mature and grow into a leadership role.
